A deep breath fled his nose, and he lowered his head once he felt her grab his hand.
He watched her take the comb from him and raise her head to look at him.
"Can you sit down?" She inquired, and Valerio fluttered his eyes.
"Uh…yeah." A surprised glint flickered in his pupils, and he sat down on the chair.
She began to comb his hair, and annoyed by the amount of awkwardness and silence in the atmosphere, a grimace ensued on Valerio's face.
"Everly, am—"
"Don't talk to me, Valerio. Allow me to do my job. Today is my last day, and I want it to be peaceful." She retaliated before he could even make out his sentence, causing him to immediately go silent.
"I see." He nodded and cleared his throat. "My apologies then." He apologized and went quiet.
He remained silent throughout everything and stood up once she was done packing his hair.
