Having said what she needed to say, Prudence then straightened her posture.

She was pretty satisfied with her handiwork. A victorious sneer spread on her face as she looked down at Aiden, who lay at her feet.

Stiffly planted on the ground, Aiden was still struggling to move. Unfortunately, his body was not listening to him.

Being unable to breathe was a painful experience. Nearing death, Aiden's thoughts flew to two people. The first one was his grandmother. The second one was Ryan.

Aiden almost fell unconscious when he heard the sound of languid footsteps approaching.

Prudence turned her head to look at the newcomer.

On the ground, Aiden was suddenly able to breathe again.

After being deprived of air for a few seconds, Aiden greedily took in a lungful of air to replenish the oxygen level in his blood. The sudden surge of air made him curl up on the ground from pain.

The young man was a little too busy with himself to take a look at the person who came to disturb Prudence.
