Capítulo 47: Help me out a bit

"Mhm. This one is good." Ike happily gobbled up his lunch while Ashley chewed her food like a cow. 

She was sitting across from him. Beside her was Bernis, but the latter didn't seem as bothered as her. This morning's council meeting was like a slap to her face. This slap stung, especially when she couldn't deny who the person on the clip was. 

[ How are you certain I didn't do it? ]

Ike's question the other day suddenly crossed her mind. Now those words and how he smirked that day made her think it had a different meaning.

'Did he really do it?' she wondered, keeping her eyes on her barely touched lunch. 'But why, though?'

Ashley peeked at the guy across from her. 'Why were you there that night? If you're innocent, what sort of reason did you have to be there? At that hour?'
