Capítulo 5: Surrogate

"Tsk tsk tsk what a disobedient son I have, oh my," James mumbled dramatically annoying Ace on purpose.

"Get to the point dad, I don't have time for your blabbing." Ace uttered in a cold tone, he hated it whenever anyone acted dramatically with him, especially his dad.

"Fine then, this old nan will tell you why he called. I want to inform you your cousin is back in the country with his wife and kid, you are slacking behind not wanting to have an heir. If you continue like this, then I will hand the company over to him. Got it?" James muttered in a serious tone before ending the call. Ace's eyes and expression turned as freezing as the north pole, he glared at the phone in his hands.

" I will kill him then, simple"

***** Room*

Alix struggled in darkness for a while before she saw a bright light at the end of the tunnel, she swam towards the light and immediately she became gasping for air. She instantly shut her eyes from the bright light that came into view, and after moments of adjusting, she opened her eyes wide once again. She glanced around at where she was, trying to figure out how she got there. All she remembered before falling unconscious was jumping into the river and drowning in it, though in her unconscious state she had felt someone picking her up that was all to it.

She stared at the room size which made her gasp in surprise, the room was overly big. It was like the large living in their mansion. She had never seen a room up to this size, there were three doors at various positions in the room. As she tried to familiarize herself with the surroundings, the door pushed open making Alix raise her gaze to the huge door behind opened. Her eyes widened in surprise when she saw the one-night-stand man standing at the door with his hands crossed in front of him.

"You? How did you get here? Do you work as a servant here? Ah! this is shit." Alix muttered staring at Ace, she had not studied his facial features the previous night but looking at him now she saw he looked quite handsome than she had expected. His well-structured face, always having on a cold expression, his dark black eyes which looked like an abyss drawing anyone into them, and his shinning brown hair swept backward gave him the look of a noble but Alix scowled in her mind. "Answer me? Why is such a handsome man as you working as a thug for some rich man?" Alix asked staring around the room.

Ace's eyes immediately turned cold when she referred to him as a thug and a servant, the servants standing outside that heard Alix's remark felt a certain kind of cold creeping up their spines. "Am not a thug or a servant." Ace muttered walking towards her with unhindered steps,

"then? Are you the gardener or gateman? The owner of the house must be so generous to allow his gardener or gateman to have such a luxurious room." Alix replied with a shrug of her shoulders, oblivious to Ace's freezing gaze.

"Am not those either got it? I am the owner of this house. Don't you see that? Do you know who I am?" Ace screamed in a freezing frustrated tone when Alix kept misunderstanding him. His expression hardened as he balled his hands into a fist, he matched toward the bed making the still-shocked Alix move back in fear.

"You own this big mansion? Who are you? Please explain. " Alix begged wondering if she had gotten into the hands of some thug or mafia lord like she read in novels, or maybe a vampire prince.

"your worst nightmare"

"What?"

"I won't repeat this so listen, my name is Ace Hawthorne the CEO and heir to the Hawthorne business empire. I am the youngest billionaire in Country B and beyond and nobody can escape my wrath, and you are going to become my surrogate bride. You are going to bear my child, my heir." Ace muttered nonchalantly in a cold tone sitting on the bed across from her.

"What?" Alix gasped in surprise at his words.

~~~~~ Ace's Mansion ~~~~~
"What? Am I hearing wrongly?" Alix questioned with wide eyes, she glared at Ace for making such an odd remark, "please be serious, I don't like jokes." Alix muttered after thinking for some moments.
"It's not a joke, am serious. You will be the mother of my Heir." Ace mumbled staring down at her with a firm and cold expression on his face. "Why? Why? Why do you want me of all girls to be the mother of your heir? I just get my wedding called off, why will I listen to you?"
Alix questioned glaring at him. "That's because I saved your life, I saved you from drowning in the river. You would have been dead meat now but I saved your ass, so you are obligated to do as I say without questions." Ace explained without so much care in the world.
"Who asked you to save me? I just wanted to die and leave this pathetic life but you saved me why? I never asked you for it, so it's not my problem but yours." Alix lashed out at Ace, tears brimmed at the edge of her eyes but she stopped them from falling.
"How dare you talk to me like that, do you know who I am?" Ace asked his gaze becoming colder than the Atlantic Ocean and the northern pole. "I don't care who you are, you aren't God so I won't listen to you. I see you as a pervert who is just in search of a lady to shove your c*ck into." Alix answered him balling her hands into a fist in determination, determination flashed through her eyes.
"You what did you say? A pervert? Me? A pervert what the hell is wrong with your brain." Ace screamed back at Alix, he stretched forth his hands to grab her jaws but stopped himself from using force on a young lady.
