Waradil stared at the three as they smiled at him without moving a single inch.

"Please do understand that this is for the best, Duke Waradil, after all, the populace has, for some reason, gotten it into their heads that you and your house are behind everything, so we need to quickly act in order to help you dispel those rumors." Quaradil, the other brother of the Emperor, said in a calm tone as the other two next to him nodded.

"You can try sugar-coating it as much as you would like, Sir Quaradil, but we are both aware of what is truly happening here," Waradil said in an angry voice.

"There has never been such an occurrence in our Empire, for a noble family that has served faithfully for so long to be suspected of such a crime and to be placed in a position such as this one." 

"Do as you will, but please do not insult my intelligence," Waradil said before he sat down, his face still showing his displeasure at what was going on.
