Lyle's eyes widened in shock, even though he had suspected that the empress definitely knew of his father, at least who he was, he was still surprised to hear that it was true.

This was the one mystery he had never been able to uncover in his life, the one thing he had always thought of, and it was now so close to him. Of course, ever since he had evolved, more questions arose, especially about his mother and just who she was, but the ones he had about his father were always there, ever since he was a kid.

Questions appeared inside his head, questions that he had always wanted to ask, things he had always wanted to know about his father.

Who was he?

Why did he never show up?

Why did he choose his mother?

Many more questions were inside his head, but even so, Lyle calmed himself down before acting impulsively.

"You … you won't tell me, won't you?" Lyle asked the empress with a calm gaze as the latter actually got a bit surprised.
