" Let's go Rena… " I say while gesturing for everyone to follow me.
" No… wait. " She mutters in disbelief as she looks at Gerald in grief.
" We can't stay for any longer. If we do, we'll give Mr. Froil a handicap. " I say trying to convince her to go. But I knew that the reason why I was trying to get her away, was due to Gerald. Her emotions are too unstable, and I don't blame her after everything that happened. Something like that, would make someone go crazy, and I know that full well.
" I can't… "
" Hmm? Who is that? " Pleis mutters as his eyes suddenly pans toward us.

" Who are those people inside the building… Are they the one who freed you from your sleep ? " He seems to have noticed us.

" We have to go… " This time I pulled on Rena's arm and leaded her away from the hole.
" Why aren't you saying anything… Am I right? " Pleis with an annoyed look on his face, turns towards Mr. Froil.

" If you aren't going to answer, I'll just check then. " He says and disappears immediately from his spot.
" What do you think you're doing? " Mr. Froil disappears from his spot as well, but immediately appeared in front of Pleis.
" You think I'm a joke? Why are you getting distracted from our fight? " Mr. Froil says in a serious tone as he looks at Pleis straight in the eyes.
" Hah, I could say the same to you! " Pleis stares at us yet again, before looking at Mr. Froil with an annoyed expression.
" You know I hate when my enemies aren't focused on their fights, right? Tsk… You know what, here, let me take care of it for you. "
The moment those specific words came out of Pleis mouth, I knew I had to escape from there that instant.
" Oi you, you have a few minutes left in you. Go chase those rats and make them pay for what they have done. " A small grin escapes from Pleis mouth, as he points where we were just at.
Without any hesitation, I sprinted towards the exit in full power. I didn't even dare look back, as I focus on my destination, with Rena and the others.
Gerald, with the order of Pleis, went and rushed towards the building where we're at, but was ultimately stopped by Mr. Froil.
"Fuck, you think you're going? " He says in an angered voice while grabbing Gerald's arms.
" Towards your lovely students. " Pleis appears next to Mr. Froil and grabs the hand that was stopping Gerald, causing Gerald to escape and rush towards the building where Mon was at.
" You fucker... " Mr. Froil seemed incredibly angry as he looks at Pleis as if he was ready to tear him apart.
" HAHAHA, let the fun begins! " Pleis shouts before stepping away from Mr. Froil.

" Mon… I think he's after us. " Mr. Gerald, who was now free from Mr. Froil was currently chasing our tracks, trying to kill us.
Yang and Kate were running right behind us, as we descend from the building.
" Brother… " Rena was still at a dazed. The amount of mental torture she received from these past few days were enough to make someone crazy. She's a strong girl due to her past, but with another bombshell, I don't know what will happen.
Regardless, she isn't mentally stable as of this moment. I can't let her speak, nor interact with anyone that would endanger her. She must calm down first before we could do anything about it.
With that being said, I think, we need to split up.
" We have to split up… "
" What? Seriously? " Yang looks at me with a worried expression. Hell, even I'm not sure what to do anymore. But I can't give up here.
" Yeah, there's no way we can escape Mr. Gerald… The Shriekers were already a problem for us, but those things are nothing compared to him. "
Kate and Yang had a grim look on their faces. It seemed like they understood what I fully meant, by we can't escape. The purpose of splitting up was not for all of us to survive. It was for some of us…
" I'll… I'll run to the left. Yang, Rena and Kate, you all will go to the opposite direction. "
" WHAT?! Are you crazy?! "Kate looks at me angrily.
" It's better this way. I'm a wanderer, no one will be affected much by my disappearance. " I didn't mean to sound like a fool. But them dying here, would not only change the course of the story, but also the relationships of the others. They have families...
Even though there's an easier way for me to survive, It's a situation where only I survive. Kate, Yang and even Rena would succumb to death. I was tempted to just leave them right here, but the idea of losing someone again, isn't going to happen in my watch.
" Are you fucking serious!? " Kate shouts at me for what I just said.
" FUCK, YOU MEAN NO ONE? "

I didn't mean to say it like that, but I don't even know if I was surviving any of this... I was the only one who would be able to buy enough time to help everyone out, but I can't seem to shake the nervousness away.
" I have to. You know I'm the only one that can do it. " I try to say in a firm tone, but it seems like they could still hear the nervousness in my voice. It's not like I'm just blindly throwing my life away, or being a hero and sacrifice myself. I was scared, but I had to.

They didn't speak any longer, we just continued running until we could see the front door, ready for us to split in different directions.
" I'm coming with you. " As we approach the door, Yang, who hasn't been saying anything since earlier, started to talk.
" What?! " Kate looks at him in disbelief.
" Mon, is doing all of this, so we can escape that fucker alive! "
" That's exactly, why I need to join him. I've been saved by him once, and I don't plan on being saved again. At least once in this shitty event, I want to at least be in control of something. "
Kate wanted to say something again, but the firm look in Yang's eyes turned her words into nothing.

" Then I will also- " Kate exclaims, but was ultimately stopped by Yang.
" You take care of young mistress... You have a more important role than I do. You're handling a life, more important than mine. " With Yang's affirmation, Kate could only bite her lips before looking straight to the exit with a complicated gaze.
As we reach the exit, I stare at Yang, trying to see his determination with his choice. I could only nod my head to see if he was ready, as I could see the firm look on his face, indicating that I wouldn't be able to convince him otherwise.
" Tsk, you rats really do love running, huh? " Mr. Gerald was currently standing at the bottom of the stairs we used to go down earlier.
Fuck... It seems like we were too slow.
There was still a lot of distance before he reaches us, but with his speed, it was still near enough for him to catch us if we don't run right now...
With that being said.
" RUN! "
With a firm look on everyone's face, we rushed towards opposite direction.
I could hear, Rena screaming and asking for Gerald and his confession, but we don't have the time not the capability to give her answers.
" I'll see you on the other side, Idiots! " Kate shouts before disappearing with Rena on her back. "
"I'll see you later... " Yang mutters in a complicated tone, as if he wasn't sure he could fulfill that promise.
