" HAHAHAHA, that felt quite satisfying. " Lin laughs out loud, all while trying to escape this place.
" Shut up! What'll you do when the kobolds hear us? "
" Look at yourself Yang, you're smiling widely while trying to stop me from doing what you're doing "
" Well, what can I say, that was quite satisfying isn't it? "
" It feels like we could defeat those pillars with this team, doesn't it? "
" HAHAHA, you're not wrong you know. "
They all laugh, showing the good condition and morale of the team.
" Yeah if we didn't follow that betraying snake, we're probably enjoying life and wasn't even in this situation in the first place… " Ling says with a pained and angered expression, showing how Rena's action affected the whole team.
" Yeah… She was an actual leader and had the kindness to back it too. Too bad, that was all a farce, and not something she actually meant for the good of the team. " Kate added, causing the bright mood from earlier to turn grim.
" Hey now, if Rena didn't do that, we wouldn't have met Mon here in the first place. "Yang, who was only listening to everyone's complaints couldn't help but try to liven up the mood somewhat.
" You know that's right huh? "They all look at him with a satisfied expressions.
" Besides, I wouldn't join that rat Reign for the life of me. His attitude and talent will a hundred percent lead me to nothing. " Yang scratches his head, trying to lift everyone's opinion of Rena somehow.
Yang is a friendly guy. He hates awkward situations and evil stuff. Though he's not on the strong side, he isn't scared in facing his opponent if it means saving his pride, honor, or his comrades. If I compared him to something, it's one of those energetic captains or knights you would find in most action stories. The ones who always laugh and are extremely friendly. He's also a loyal man, so he's probably still thinking about what caused Rena's sudden actions.
" Yeah, that bastard Reign would be the last person I approach. "
" Same… But as I think about it. Why don't you become our leader instead? " Lin suddenly looks at me with a serious expression.
As he says so, the others who were escaping with us didn't even flinch from his words, as if they were expecting them already.
" You know… oppose Reign and actually be the class president? " He says.
" Ha, you know I can't do that. " I brushed him off with an awkward smile.
You think I'll just become the class president in this new world? Like sit down and manage a single class when the world I've read throughout half of my life, is somewhere out there.
" I don't have the background and resources for that. I'm not Rena who has strong backing. "
" Yeah you don't. But that's the case right now. With your talent, I know for sure you're going to be big. Hell, if Sense, didn't constrict us from talking about a Wanderer with an ability, I might've told everyone about it. " He says, causing everyone to look at me with hopeful eyes.

" Well, I'm grateful for everyone's opinion of me. " I murmur not knowing what I should do with the situation. Being a leader of a class would be great, don't get me wrong. I'll lead the entire class and battle the so-called main characters of this world. Sounds exciting and fun. But the freedom just wouldn't be there. Yes, it's only for this semester, but this is Earthly Guardian we're talking about. A fictional story. Something that is bound to be filled to the brim with action and threats looming around waiting to take everything with it to the grave.
And being a class president isn't something that will help me.
" I'm sorry but it's too small of a dream. " I say confidently, not minding if they'll take it the wrong way.
" Hah… I mean at least I tried. " Lin says with a downed expression.
They were hoping for me to lead them, but it seemed like they were expecting my answers already.
" HAHAHA, that's fine. We know your skills are certainly great. We can't keep you in such a small position after all. But at least, become our leader during this training. " Yang looks at me confident that I was going to agree already. Besides, a team on my back was something I needed in this training. Moving solo means you're only doing the work of a single person. With this many kobolds around, a team is bound to be the best decision.
" Sorry to interrupt guys but we've arrived at our exit. We can just drop from that window. It's the second floor, so let's try and land on them to kill them instantly so they won't call for help. " Kate says as she points at the store next to us with its window wall, completely shattered and open outside.
We were standing in the middle of the mall, where you can see all the floors and the escalators going up to them. It seems like most of the kobolds were currently outside as the inside was barren. They were probably trying to fend off everyone from their Lair, as I'm sure they've realized were here to kill them.
Kate and Yang's abilities also helped a lot, so that's another reason why as well.
" Alright you go first, " Kate says as he nudges me.
" I'm sorry to disappoint you Yang, and Kate, but it seems like I can't grant those wishes either. " I say
" What? " As if they weren't expecting my answer, they all exclaim simultaneously. I mean who in their right mind would move by themselves inside and in the vicinity of an active Lair?
" I'm sorry, guys but I won't be able to join you in this. " I say while pointing my index finger up.
As I did so, they all reflexively lift up their heads, trying to find what I was pointing at.
But It didn't take long for them to realize, as a thin lanky black lizard, with its ribs protruding was currently resting on the ceiling all the way to the third floor, looking at us. It had the exact green goo we saw earlier dripping from its mouth corroding the concrete it was dripping on.

As everyone stared at it eyes to eyes, they couldn't help but shudder in fear from its creepy elongated face. It didn't have sharp teeth at all. I mean it didn't need to. All its teeth were humanlike, as they were made for gripping food and the corrosive acid does all the work.

As if it realized we saw him. He suddenly jumped off of the ceiling and onto the third floor.
" What the fuck was that… " Yang whispers.
Lin who was nervous seemed to have figured out what that Inter was. Whispering back to Yang.
" It's the Kroliga- "
Thud!
As Lin tried to identify it, huge amounts of what seemed to be Kobold's bone fell from the third floor crushing Lin in the process.
' Ting! Lin Jerma has been brought back to Sense ' A sudden announcement escaped from where Lin was just, indicating his loss.
" Shit! It got Lin! " Yang shouts out loud and suddenly pulls on Kate and the others trying to lead them outside through the window.
" Mon! Let's go!... Mon? " As if Yang realized I wasn't inside the store they were at, he suddenly shouts trying to look for me.
" I'm fine " I signaled to him, showing that I was currently outside of the store whose entrance is blocked by the same bones that crushed Lin.
" Shit! Mon's outside! " He screams trying to alert everyone and try to think of some way to let me in.
But it's not like I plan to go out anyways…
The reason why I went inside, was to look for some way to kill all the kobolds at once. Something strong enough to break the foundation of this old mall. But It seems like I didn't have to search for long, with something as big as that thing on the third floor.
" Sorry Yang, I wouldn't be able to join you again in this scenario. " I say as I start to walk away from the store.
" I plan on turning this colony to my points after all. "
