Jian who face planted on the ground couldn't help but grunt due to the sheer strength I used.
The item I received was so lucky that I didn't even expect it to appear.
It must be the payment of the bad luck I've been getting to balance things out or something. Otherwise, that amount of luck is like winning the lotto multiple times.
Well, my ability unlike Sol is literally a lotto anyways. You gain attention, and you're rewarded with an item that could literally be anything. Unlike Sol who can progressively save hunter points to actually build himself properly and use items that will boost and strengthen his foundations better.
I mean that's the original for you. All I did was use an artifact and copied his ability. It's no shock that mine would be a little more weaker and unreliable than his. Though I could say that, my ability might be unreliable and lacking compared to Sol's system in terms of tools and everything else, my ability actually is better in getting great items. I'm sure that a stat upgrade could cost him an entire month of hunting to afford them, which isn't that bad considering how difficult it is to raise stats more so when you're high in level. And the rank booster would've probably taken him two whole years to get. It's just that broken...
I mean it upgrades stats according to your fighting style, all while having two entire ranks upgraded for you.
Though it's limited only up to C tier as It was only a low-tiered booster, a high-tiered booster could literally take an A-rank Guardian to a Sentinel. But that is obviously a lot more rare than what I just got.
But regardless that proves how absurd yet unreliable my system is. The reward for the 10000 points was a mere stat upgrade that Sol could get in a month, while this booster would've taken Sol two percent of his life to obtain.
The need for attention points progressively increases in large amounts, so I'm not sure If I'll be able to actually grow as quickly as Sol unless I become some sort of powerhouse even before reaching those insanely high numbers.
Regardless, It's all just for beating up people like these.
" You fuck- " Jian tried to escape from my grasp as he grabbed my arms that were holding his face.
But it's not like I'll just let him do it, So I raised his entire body and slammed his face on the floor again.
" Urgh! "
" You fucking bitch! Let go of him! " His friends finally managed to escape their shocked state. They immediately activated their abilities, one started forming arrows floating in the air, while one even grew a tail made out of what looked like poisonous goo.
The unique abilities of Terran never fail to impress me...
But its rules are quite scary, and his friends seem to know them well. As an E+ rank guardian, I was already part of the elites in my class only bested by an actual talented person such as Rena and some other incredibly rich young masters only bested by Reign and Rena in terms of money whose entire body is made out of elixir. And a group of people sucking up to Jian is by no means any of that...
I don't know when I started to form this habit of mine, but every time I wanna scare someone my hands somehow reach my pocket.
And this moment was no exception...
Letting go of the fallen Jian, I placed my hands inside my pocket while stepping on his face to restrict his movement.

" Fuck! " They scream in shock as the one with the poisonous tail crushed it with his body weight due to him falling back in fear.
" Aren't we showing off our abilities? Why did you guys deactivate them? "
" You...! " Though they were finally utilizing their brains trying to gang up on me, the fear they felt from my sudden increase in strength was only amplified by my ability which makes me scary to my target.
My magic stat improved quite a bit too, though it isn't much, the main factor that affects my ability is charm anyways.
Underneath my foot was a person receiving the full-blown effect of my ability, even though he was already ready for my skill, which lowered its effectiveness. He was still unable to gather up his strength and escape my foot.
" Alright now that the pests are gone, let's focus on our main topic here. "
I raised Jian by his collar while constantly pressuring him with my grip and also my ability.
" Who is your leader? " I ask with a calm smile.
" Are y..ou fucking st..upid? " He struggled to speak but his eyes were still looking at me in anger...
Or at least that was what was obvious. Though subtle, you could see the sudden change in their expression when I said my question. A hint of nervousness flashed on their faces as if they just got caught.
A normal guy wouldn't have noticed it much, but someone who learned body language and everything with emotions could.
This is quite irritating...
" Hah... do you think you're in a position to be tough? Let's make this thing stronger then shall I? "

" Mo... monster! " Though Mon didn't think much of it. In the eyes of the others, he looked like something that could murder them that instant.
Although it was just the result of extreme fear, black flames with a violet hue seemed to have trailed Mon's eyes as a dark shadowy figure with blaring violet eyes appeared behind him enveloping the whole alley with its body alone...
" You... "
" I'll... tell..! " One of them shouted, causing me to stop my ability, which was perfect timing as I was running out of energy to keep on going.
But it seems like I was a little too late, as apart from Reign, they were all unconscious lying on the ground.
" You... You're no fucking Wanderer. " Reign steps back slowly as he looks at me in fear and anger.
" Well, I actually am you know. " I slowly approach him as he was the only one left that could answer my question.
But it seems like I'd scared them too much that even the prideful Reign decided to run the moment I took a step forward.
Wow, he doesn't even look back or at least act worried about his underlings? At least pretend a little...
Regardless, I saw no point in chasing after him as I'm sure he wouldn't tell me even if I do something about it.
I can only rely on the actual person to slip up a little and show even a small gap in his identity.
I can wait here and continue to ask these guys, but yet again... unless I beat them hard enough for Sense to kick me out, they probably wouldn't tell a single thing. I'm sure I've alerted the heads enough as this wasn't even allowed in the first place.
Haa... The day is long yet I'm already this exhausted.
