The dark memories lingered, but they were overwhelmed by the sudden light... by the sudden warmth that enveloped Arren. 

Slowly, he raised his head. Despite his dark vision, he seemed able to see that light that emitted from him, from someone who would always come and save him with every opportunity. 

"Spade..." he weakly muttered. The past and the present were still overlapping at each other as though he were having a hallucination. This made Arren's voice hoarser than before. 

He wanted to hear his voice, he wanted to know that what he experienced in this life was real and not only an illusion created by his hopeless fantasy. 

Even more so, he wanted to see him. Arren raised his hand and removed Spade's hand from his eyes. Their eyes quickly met, and those worried eyes filled with indescribable emotions were drawn to him.
