Capítulo 10: First Day in the Hunter Mansion
The next morning, Trustin woke up from his deep slumber. But when he turned to look beside him and found his wife was not present there.
"Where did she leave?" He mumbled while rubbing his eyes. He sat up on the bed and looked around to find Elysia. He got down from the bed and searched for her. To his surprise, she was on the floor.
Last night, Elysia had made three rules between them.
Trustin recalled how he had told Elysia to sleep on the bed after she told him the rules. However, she did not listen to him. Since he had not slept well for the last two nights, so the moment he lay on the bed, he fell asleep.
"She is really stubborn," he mumbled as he rested his hands on his waist. He shook his head and went to her. Bending on his knees, he carried her up in his arms and helped her settle on the bed. Like a baby, Elysia held his hand and brought her legs closer.
Trustin gently pulled his hand away and covered her with the blanket. He saw her face was covered with hair and he brushed them away. He went to the washroom to freshen up as he had to leave early for the office. For the past fifteen days, he did not focus on the work because of his marriage and even had shifted his important meetings to a later date.
He had a hot water shower and went to the walk-in closet. As he crossed the bedroom, he saw Elysia had still not woken up. He reached the walk-in closet and changed into a black business suit with a white shirt. He dried his hair, combed them, and parted them from the left side. Wearing the watch, and his shoes, he left the room.
Elysia opened her eyes as she heard the door close. She pretended to sleep when Trustin was in the room. When she saw him coming out of the washroom in a towel, her cheeks had flushed red. Luckily, he had left soon for the closet and she could manage to breathe. She sat up on the bed and ruffled her hair.
She looked around and found how strangely her life changed in mere a day. She slowly got out of the bed and she went to the washroom. Thirty minutes later, when she came out of the washroom in a bathrobe, she found a beautiful knee length floral dress on the bed.
She looked around and went to pick it up. "I could arrange this dress at the moment. I brought your luggage in the evening," she read the note that Trustin had left for her. Unbeknownst to her, a smile formed on her lips. She put the note down and picked the dress to change into that.
Once she was ready, she searched for her phone. She had to call Eithan. As she stood up from the stool, she heard a knock. A maid entered in and wished Elysia a good morning. "Madam, the young master's mother has asked me to take you to the dining area," the maid informed Elysia with her head low.
Elysia felt a little weird when she was addressed as Madam. However, she did not say anything and followed her to the breakfast nook. She was nervous to see Hannah, but at the same time, she was relieved to find that no other family members were around.
Hannah smiled to see Elysia and walked to her. She hugged Elysia and asked her if she had a good sleep.
"Yes…" she did not know how to address Hannah when she told her to call her Mom.
Elysia smiled a little and looked around as if she was looking for someone.
"Trustin and others have gone to their respective work early in the morning. Trustin told me not to disturb you as you were sleeping, but since it was almost past nine thirty in the morning, I decided to send a maid," Hannah explained to Elysia. She walked toward the breakfast table while Elysia followed her.
"Take a seat, Elysia," Hannah said as she had already sat on the chair. She instructed the servant to serve them the meals while Elysia sat next to Hannah. She felt good that Hannah waited for her and did not take breakfast.
"Elysia, thank you for marrying my son. I am so happy to have you as my daughter-in-law. But I will keep you as my own daughter. You do not have to feel the absence of a mother," Hannah said in her soft tone. Elysia was touched by Hannah's sweet gesture, and she suddenly felt her own mother had revived... She had not thought that a man like Trustin Hunter would have a sweet mother like Hannah.
"I will also leave in a while as I have to attend an important meeting," Hannah informed Elysia. She could not tell her about pack activities and the matters related to them since Trustin had asked her to.
"Does Mom also work?" Elysia asked with curiosity.
"Kind of," Hannah said and told her that they should start eating. Elysia nodded and began eating. She wondered why Eithan was not in the house and asked Hannah suddenly about it.
"Eithan has left home long ago," Hannah stated and the smile from her lips slowly vanished.
"What? Why? He never told me about this," Elysia was confused to find out about it.
Hannah asked her if she knew Eithan personally. Elysia nodded at her.
"We are best friends since university. Why did he leave the house? He has such a beautiful and caring mother." Elysia was a little disappointed to know that Eithan left the house. She found it strange because all this time, he only told her that his family lived abroad.
She silently had her breakfast and twenty minutes later, when they finished eating, Hannah also left the house. She gave her number to Elysia and asked her to call her if she wanted something.
Elysia thought to help the maids while Hannah left for the pack meeting. However, she halted outside the car and called her son, Trustin.
After a few rings, Trustin answered his mother's call.
"Trustin, it is not good that you returned to the work right after your marriage. Come home and be with your wife. It seems you do not love her," Hannah said while squinting her eyes in suspicion.
"Mom, I have been busy with wedding preparation for the past fifteen days. I have much important work left in the office. I will be returning to the home by the early evening," Trustin assured his mother and gestured to his assistant to go ahead.
"Your father is suspicious of your marriage. You can remotely work as well. Just be with your wife for a few days. You can fool everyone around you, but not me, come home and be with Elysia. She is alone here. What will she think seeing nobody in the house? It is her first day here, and her husband must be present with her." Hannah tried to make her son understand.
"I will try to come home early, Mom. I will talk with Elysia. Do not worry and I am not lying to anyone. I indeed love her," Trustin said. He looked at his wristwatch and told Hannah that he might get late for the meeting. He hung up the call while Hannah looked at her phone's screen in bewilderment.
She sighed and got into the car. The driver closed the door for her before getting into the driver seat and he drove the car away.
