"What did you say?" Prince Elliott looked down at the valet who had become suddenly stilled. His gaze went back to the lying body. He couldn't see properly since almost every corner of the lavatory was dark but he didn't want to show his confusion.

The valet stood up and he was shocked to see tears staining the valet's cheeks. The valet's eyes had turned into a paler gray and it was watery. Those eyes still reminded him of the princess and he was even more determined to meet the princess and clear his doubts.

"Your Highness, this man was murdered."

"What?" Esmeralda spotted the frown mixed with shock on his face. "How would you know?"

"He was groaning and then suddenly fell with no weapons found with him, 'course he was murdered and didn't committed suicide. Who would think the best way to commit suicide is in a bleeding palace?"
