Hazel blinked and she carefully walked towards the both of them. While her eyes were fixed on Ethan, she kept moving her gaze towards the said woman. Though she didn't recognise her face, she recognised her stature and even her gown.
'She is the assassin, the woman who framed me,' she thought as she stared. 'And why is she with Ethan? Could it be that Ethan is aware and has been pretending or could it be that what I thought about the woman being sent by the alpha is true? Most especially, why is she here and glaring at me?"
Hazel swallowed as many thoughts began to wrap themselves in her head.
"Meet Lady Evelyn, she is assigned to protect you during your stay in the hut," Ethan said, taking a glance at the woman before he looked back at the vampiress. "She is friendly and very trustworthy, so you are safe. It is quite unfortunate that I am very busy and can not escort a prisoner to the river like you have thought."
