Capítulo 20: Chapter 20: Captured

When Chase woke up his head was pounding and everything was dark. He shifted, trying to raise a hand to rub at his eyes only to find his hands were bound behind his back, chained to the chair he was sitting in.

A rush of panic washed over him briefly and he yanked at the chains, looking around the room wildly. Movement in a dark corner caught his eye and he froze, choking back a sob that threatened to escape.

“You’re a slippery little bug, aintcha,” the voice from the forest chuckled as the figure in the shadows approached. A light was flicked on and Chase saw that they were in a dingy old room that was clearly abandoned.

Chase shuddered as he looked around again. When his gaze landed on the stranger standing in front of him he suddenly felt defiant. “What do you want from me?” he asked, agitation dripping into his voice.

“Simple,” the man said, grinning wickedly. “I want you.”

Chase faltered. “What?”
