Capítulo 229: In The Royal Chambers (2)

When Evelyn checked on Derrick again an hour later, she found that he was asleep.

There was nothing to pass her time inside the chambers. She could see some books lying on the shelves inside the chambers but she was not sure if Derrick would like it that she touched them.

So despite how tempted, she was to read them, she controlled herself.

In the end, she could stand by the window and watch the sky until the sun set.

After some time, the guard walked in with the dinner. The tray had two bowls as usual – one big and one small.

As soon as the guard left, Evelyn went to the bathroom with the larger bowl and disposed it off. Then she walked towards the bed with the small bowl in her hands.

When Evelyn parted the curtain a little she realized that Derrick was already awake.

Evelyn bowed her head and said respectfully.

"Your Majesty, the dinner is here."

However, Derrick looked at her with scrutiny and asked coldly

"What did you do with another bowl?"
