Evelyn thought that she might have misheard, otherwise, why would the prince say such words?

But when she looked into his eyes, her heart skipped a beat and she couldn't help but feel bewildered.

Evelyn's consciousness told her again as she shook her head. Regan looked at her in confusion and asked

"What are you doing?"

Was she perhaps refusing his words?

Evelyn blinked and whispered a moment later.

"I think there is something wrong with my ears …or I might be having hallucinations."

Regan's lips were pressed in a thin line for a moment when he heard these words. Exactly how much low self-esteem did this girl have?

He wondered suddenly.

Could she not even believe that he could like her?

The next moment, he suddenly held her waist and pulled her closer to himself if that was even possible.
