The very first thing the sun had risen from the east as the birds flew away from their nest in search of food for the day to quench their and their baby's tummy, Gloria had made up herself rushing toward Alicia's home. Her heart kept chanting and yearning to see everything was back to normal, but unfortunately, reality had to come down with a tight slap.
As soon as the door to Alicia's home swiftly opened, her friend's mother's eyes widened with surprise. She vividly remembered how her eyes had searched for her daughter, whose cheeks were puffy red and eyes swollen from all the tears she had been shedding from the loss of her daughter.
"Where is she?"She questioned, hysterically as she held Gloria's shoulders tightly and jerked her. "She's playing another prank, right? You guys are playing another prank on me, right?"
"Mrs. Anderson-" Gloria could feel her own eyes welling up with hot tears.
