Capítulo 50: Missing Woman From The Forbidden Cell

Through the dark corridors of the dungeons, passing by the rocky walls and the rusty stench of dried blood mixed with the newly flowing ones, Alicia snuck and stood behind a pillar, hearing sharp footsteps from the opposite direction.

Earlier, when she was still shedding silent tears and struggling to get off the torture bed, she felt something loosen. From the corner of her eyes, she glanced down only to stop shedding her tears for a brief moment. Something was shining beside her. Trying her luck she glanced to the other side for any signs of the witch being anywhere near. Making sure no noise came, she slowly pulled her hands and lifted them. To her amazement, her hands were free, but the cuffs were around her like a thick silver bangle which she didn't mind as long as she could move it around.

As she placed her hands back on the iron bed she heard the faint sizzling underneath it having her glance at it with shock.

'What's happening?'

She took her hands away from the bed only to see it too melted with the mere touch of hers. If she could melt this why could she not melt every shackle that held her down to the torture bad thought Alicia and placed her hands over the chain that ran from the biting neck belt? She successfully did melt it too and the rest of the other chains but unfortunately she could not take off the neck belt that was around her neck, rubbing on her skin with every move she took.

Caring less of it, she slowly got down from the bed, groaning low in pain, and reached toward the door knob. Having it melt, she glanced behind at the witch who was nowhere to be seen before she stepped out of the room.

She could not believe she had escaped from the clutches of the damn witch. Not fully, but for the time being. Whatever the witch had told of her not being a human turned out to be a human, for that was why, her tear drops which she had been shedding, had melted the shackles that were connected to the cuff, and it came off.

To find out what sort of a creature she was left in store, for, she had to find an assuring escape from where ever the place she was at.

The lowly lit flare created a huge, and dark shadow falling on the wall as she glanced at whoever was coming on her way. It was a single man. Alicia had to hold her breath, making sure she made no noise for the person to turn behind and search for her.

As the footsteps echoed near and loud, she heard the low voice of the man cursing under his breath. It seemed that the man was annoyed.

Passing the pillar that Alicia was behind the man in black and silver armor that had the symbol of the royals on the back of his, placed the torch on the nearby holder and walked further in.

Alicia took in a mouth full of air in relief as she stepped out of her hide in her bare feet that were dirtied with too many stains that itched her to get rid of.

"You!"

Alicia's back turned stiff at the voice that echoed louder and clearer for her to register.

"Stop right there!"

Fear crept through her.

'I'm dead for sure,' she thought as she turned around with her closed eyes, praying the god for any possible way to escape from the clutches of the witch.

"Yes, Milady?"

Alicia frowned, hearing another voice come from the same direction. She opened her eyes with confusion only for her to be dawned by the situation.

The call wasn't for her.

"Did you happen to see a white head girl run across this way?"

The question had her widen her eyes. As if the fire had been set under her feet Alicia ran through the dark ways making sure she made no noise. She didn't know where she was heading, but all that she prayed for was an exit.

With every move, she took pain staked through her body having no choice but to stifle the grunts that were threatening to escape out of her mouth. She bit her lips as she felt the squeeze in her heart.

It was definitely the witch's doing. 'Hell, that Voodoo!'

'What is this place?' She wondered as she took in the dark surroundings, the dirtied floor, and walls, and was that-

"S-skeleton?" she squeaked in shock.

"Who's in there?"

"Oh shit! Not again." Alicia hurriedly looked for a place to hide, standing at a convergence. She had no time to think and had to act quickly.

"Juda, keep an eye on them while I see who it is." She heard the same voice come from the other side of the wall.

Alicia spotted a narrow alcove nearby and darted toward it. Hoping she'd get to blend with the darkness, pressing her body onto the cold wall, she held her breath once more.

From her hiding spot, she could barely make out a man in the same armor as the one she had earlier seen. Alicia strained her ears, trying to listen to their conversation.

"Who's in there?" the came rough and laced out in annoyance and suspicion. "Step out already." His voice echoed throughout the dark passage, having Alicia's heart nearly jump out of her body.

Loud footsteps from the same way she had come echoed, having both her and the guard who was looking for her turn toward the source, wondering who might that be.

"Sir Decan?" As the man who she had heard speaking to the witch come into the light, the other guard bowed respectfully before he questioned in confusion. "What brings you here, sire?"

"His Majesty had me look into the forbidden cell." The guard frowned as he wondered what was going on in that forbidden cell. Not only was it forbidden but they've held down a woman of all, he thought.

"The woman from the cell is gone missing. Have some of the guards look for her. Be vigilant. She won't be any far and still in the dungeon! Inform the others too!"

'Dungeon?' Alicia's eyes widened as she heard the men speak.

"She'd be this height," he gestured to Alicia's height, "white blonde hair and blueish grey eyes. That is all the details that I know. Keep patrolling every exit. We can't lose her any longer. The news of her escape shouldn't reach the King. Do you get what I say?"

"Yes, Sire!" The guard quickly bowed his head and ran, informing Juda and some other guards who started to look for her making rounds in the passages frantically.

Decan gritted his teeth annoyedly as this was the first time something like this had happened.

"To think that she could escape!"
