"So, why did you call us here?" A figure covered by a dark shadow walked into the room. Only his flashing red eyes could be seen midst the mist surrounding his body.
"Well Apollyon," A man with thin strands of long, blonde hair and blue eyes rested his hands on the table as he spoke. "Some of our scouts, sent from different nations, have confirmed the arrival of a new dragon."
Immediately after the man spoke, the entire room was flabbergasted. Then it immediately erupted into worried chatter to one another about the dragon's presence.
"Do they know what kind of dragon it is?" A thin being with brown feathers sprouting from parts of its pale skin. "If it isn't too dangerous, we should be able to destroy it with no issues."
"That's the problem, Storm." The man shook his head with a frustrated sigh. "They weren't able to identify what it was before it flew off; some of them said it has dark scales."
"Dark scales?" Apollyon tilted his head. "Do you think it could be... some kind of camouflage dragon? Evolved to blend in with the night sky?"
"That could be right," The blonde man rubbed his temples before explaining, "However, those kinds of dragons have never been documented about." He then points a finger to Apollyon, "Actually, it COULD be a Shadow Dragon - but that's a pretty wild suggestion."
Once again, the entire room erupted into chatter. But it immediately died down as Apollyon smashed his foot into the ground causing a large earthquake and causing some to fall off of their seats.
"Last I checked, Shadow Dragons don't exist anymore. Our ancestors wiped them all out!" Apollyon contests with what the blonde man had said.
"Like I said, it's a wild claim." Suddenly, the doors opens to a guy with a bright aura surrounding his body as the blonde man explains. "But, someone possessing the incredibly rare variant, 'Light Magic' had told me about it."
Apollyon suddenly retreated to the other side of the room away from the glowing human with a snarl on his face.
"That's true, Alaric." The new human's aura fades as his appearance is revealed. White hair and crimson eyes, and bandages covering a large portion of his body. He had scars running down his face and presumably down his body and arms too. "I have met that dragon before, and I can confirm that it is indeed a Shadow Dragon."
"How can you be so sure?" Apollyon slowly walks out from his hiding spot as the aura made of light slowly recedes. "It's said that Shadow Dragons are nothing more than a myth."
"Would you believe me... if I told you that I'm over a thousand years old?" The human smirks at Apollyon.
"Of, fucking, course not!" Apollyon growls as he points to a human with purple hair in the room. "You, scan that human right now and tell me the statistics!"
[----]
Walking down the hallways of my dirt castle, I walk onto the balcony and look down at my slowly developing nation. At this rate, we'll die out in a few weeks. I don't even know how to be a leader, I was quite naïve to get a status like this without knowing what I was doing.
Well, I can't change that now. Even if these lizardmen don't fully trust me, I need to somehow find out a way to bring this nation to its peak.
But that'll be hard with how they've been treating me recently. Just yesterday I had to deal with several assassination attempts on my life. There's some organization in this nation which specializes in assassinations, I need to find it and burn it to the ground before they become successful one day... I doubt that but it's still a problem.
However, I cannot dwell on that right now. After all, there are some more serious matters I need to attend to. I heard that there's another nation which is slowly making advances to my kingdom. I don't know what they want.
If they make attempts to wipe us out, or take us over...
I'll kill them and take everything they own.
