Capítulo 20: War of factions

In a sea of land, with large trees, massive hills, endless bodies of water, and roaming mutated animals.

In this land, a war horn sounded. Behind this war horn was an army of a million troops.

They cleared up the forest with their sheer numbers. Their stampede spread across the landscape, scaring away even the most ferocious animal in the land.

A coordinated machine of war. The imperial army filled to the brim with the most skilled personnel, the latest tools of war, and artifacts.

Led by the inhuman, the unmerciful one, the strongest of the 100 vassals, The Inhuman Rex.

He rode forward gallantly with red robes and silver armor.

Next to him was Gustavo, a big man with a giant axe and red armor, toppling even Rex. He had a slightly rough face that was decorated with scars.

As he rode a giant boar, he spoke to Rex.

"We've not had a scale of war like this since the invasion of Orcera," said the vassal of geneva, Gustavo.

Rex turned around with a smile and said, "Things were so much easier back then. We didn't have to worry about beasts, gates, and the living dead."

Gustavo looked in nostalgia. He was thinking about the lives that had been lost and the comrades that have long faded into the rivers of time.

"If this is my last battle, I want you to promise me you'll end this nightmare. Not just the undead, all of it," said Gustavo to Rex. With eyes that have long lost the life that they once had.

"Don't raise a flag for yourself, old friend. You are going to walk out of this war alive," said Rex as he walked he rode forward.

In the undead city (formerly known as Bogard)

"My lord, the enemy has gathered their troops. They are coming from the north. They have ten vassals and 948483 troops and 10000 mounts, with an average of class 4 martial artists," said a skeleton as he shakily reported the information he received from their eyes.

"Only a million! Do they look down on me? Do they look down on me!? JUDAS ISCARIOT," said Judas as he jumped out of his seat while staring at the skeleton.

"No, my lord! I mean yes, no, Sir, forgive me!" begged the skeleton for his life.

"If they want to underestimate me, then I shall crush them! I will make them despair as my horde lays waste to their army," said Judas, raising his hands to grab his war sword.

"I will go to battle. They will face the might of Judas Iscariot!" Said Judas, pointing his sword at the sky. A gloomy atmosphere then spread through the castle.

In a random part of the world's sea

A large ship slowly sailed through a storm, Larger than whales. On it was 1000 men.

On the ship, a man held a paper that looked like a map. A closer look showed us the markings, Mring Empire, Jakkobah Empire, and one titled... Jin Zhuo Shi.

"Speed up ahead," said the man, causing the rowers to increase in intensity.

Behind the man were 10000 ships, as they towed on the cusp of the raging storm.

In the storm, they were shadows, multiple creatures in different forms.

"Odin, I dedicate this expedition to your name. We shall feast on their flesh and dine in their blood, Blod!" the man screamed as the entire expedition chanted.

"Blod!"

The storm became fiercer, but the Vikings pushed on.

Their vessel rocked back and forth violently, with the crew struggling to keep balance.

It got so bad, a sailor almost slipped and fell off the boat, only to be saved by his comrade, who quickly returned to the helm.

The storm continued for what seemed like an eternity until something strange happened.

"Lupins of Odin, retreat from this land!" boomed a voice

Vibrations from the land and sea brought forth a creature. Whose eclipsing presence could rival the most powerful of giants

The sailors trembled in fear and fell back onto the ship.

The creature turned towards them, "Mongrels, I have spoken, return to your rightful land! Or you shall die, and those who do not will suffer great pain before they shall finally receive peace!" it roared shaking the sea with his might.

"Ymir, do you obstruct us from our path? You dare wage a war against the aesirs," screamed the man without fear at the giant.

"Demigod Slava, son of Loki, do you think your loyalty will exempt you from the sins of your father?" Ymir mocked him with a scornful expression.

The sailors looked at each other and back at the Ymir. "You think your height scares us? Do you think your might scare us? We are Vikings! We are warriors and we will claim this land under your feet. So let us pass, or we will pass through you!"

"You may try," Ymir said with menace in his eyes as it turned around and dived back into the sea.

At first, everyone was confused, but then waves started forming beneath their feet.

"No, it can't be," said a sailor as he knelt at the creatures that slowly revealed themselves from the abyss.

Massive serpent kilometers long with black and white scales with a luster to it. It slowly swam under the sailors silently and viciously. It constantly made hissing noises, popping its head out occasionally.

The sailors shook in fear as the creature stalked them like a predator to prey.

"You want to walk through me, mortals? Why don't you walk through my mouth?" The snake questioned the Vikings.

"We will walk into you, cut your belly and kill you," said Slava to the serpent bravely and eloquently.

"If you come into me, you will die," the serpent said as he swam In front of the man. "Then prove it. Dare you accept my challenge?" Slava said as he came inches closer to the snake. The snake opened its mouth and wanted to swallow him before…

"Jörmungandr, that child is the son of Loki. Do not be deceived by his treachery!" said Ymir to the Jörmungandr. The serpent's eyes widened in realization as he looked at Ymir, then back at Slava and said, "Do you deceive me, son of Loki?"

"I do not deceive you. I am merely placing a bet. To see if I can escape from your belly or not," said Slava as he put his hands behind his back to give a signal. A sailor received it and quietly escaped from sight.

Jörmungandr, now scared, refused to fall for Slava's scheme as he was contemplating.

"Jörmungandr, don't you know the virtue of your father, The God Of Tricksters! You dare allow such a child to enter your belly," said from the depths with a wolf's head, paws, and fur.

"Fenrir, I don't need your thoughts. I know Lokis' virtue, as you said. I just don't believe he can live after I swallow him," said Jörmungandr to the wolf.

"Then by all means," said the wolf, but then he slowly said, "Swallow him and die. I shall feast on your corpse and then I will feast on Odin"

"This stupid argument on who swallows who! Just kill them all and get it over with!" said a new intruder.

Made of rock and lava, carrying an enormous sword made of flames from Mulpelheim, its heat burnt the sea itself. Releasing a huge puff of mist into the air.

The being stepped on the sea, melting it, and shrouded his form even more. In this stormy weather, it looked more menacing, causing the sailors to wet themselves in unbridled fear.

"We are going to die," said a sailor, spreading even more panic among them. Some jumped into the sea but climbed back up as the boiling water melted their skin.

Slava did not panic at this world-ending-like sight. Instead, his heart was racing. He wanted to fight. He wanted war.

"Charge," screamed Slava, escalating the storm even more

In another realm…

An old man looked in the distance. From his back came an old woman. She had freckles on her face and white hair with an old walking stick, wearing torn clothes and racket scandals.

"Do you remember the prophecy, Odin?" said the woman as she walked at his back, her legs releasing a foul smoke as she hovered on the ground.

"There's not a day that goes by that I don't. In the night it hunts me. I will not accept such a fate," Odin said, squinting his eyes at a figure hatefully. "this realm is my last hope."

"What is so special about this realm that makes you place all your hopes on it? Do you believe its inhabitants can defeat them? Do you think another can't take their place? Answer me All-father!" The woman screams at Odin, causing the whole chamber to shake.

"I shall not answer you witch after all. You did say anyone can start the prophecy, so why not you?" said Odin, looking at the woman with alertness and distrust. Realization flashed through the woman's mind. Then her face morphed into a scornful and angry expression.

"You are a foolish and untrustworthy man. Your suspicions and distrustful nature will be your end. I look forward to what your so-called plans will be," said the woman angrily as she disappeared into a flock of crows.

Bermuda sea

A flaming giant was laying waste to thousands of ships, burning them down with the flames of Muspelheim while the sailors burnt to death in miserly and anguish.

"Surtur, stop, you are doing useless work," said Ymir to Sultur as he realized what was wrong.

"Ymir, why do you stop us? A change of heart?" Said Jörmungandr confusedly, not understanding why the giant would stop their actions.

"Open your eyes! Open your eyes and look at what you lay waste!" said Ymir in a loud voice. Sobering them from the illusion.

The dead bodies on the ships slowly turned to straw and bamboo, their blades turned to poles, and their ships turned to logs. "When?" Asked Surtur, watching the burning pieces of wood.

"An illusion, only one man can make an illusion that can deceive us!" Said Fenrir as he thought of…. Loki.

In a small boat...

Slava stood with a devious smile as his face slowly morphed into that of a handsome, thin, middle-aged man with a crooked smile.

It was

Loki Laufeyjarson
