“Jesse says he’ll call back,” I said to Anthony, as we booked it back toward the Peterson house.

I didn’t know exactly what was coming, except that it would be bad, and we would need everyone that we had. I could only hope the security hadn’t been compromised.

I knew the recruitment drive was a problem. The more people the higher the chance of them going bad. It didn’t even have to be that many. One, two, or three could do it if they were in the right positions.

I ran through every member in my head, focusing on the new ones, to see if I could ferret out who the traitor might be, just in case. The same five names coming up each time.
