"W-What is it?"
"Cough! Even though I'm happy you're clinging to me, but still…"
Then, Hori-san realized and blushed, releasing her grip on me. Is she still the same girl who knocked me out with one punch?
But to think there'd be a day I'd tell a girl not to cling to me… Times have changed. Apocalypse, Banzai!
Still, there was a reason I told Hori-san not to cling too much.
"Hori-san, make sure not to make any noise."
"Um."
We were now walking through the streets, slipping between zombies as silently as possible. These zombies were blind, reacting only to sound.
"Kobayashi-kun, how did you know about this?"
"W-Well, I fought some of them, so…"
And there, I had to lie about it. I can't exactly say it was my otherworldly knowledge, right? Fortunately, the usually sharp Hori-san didn't catch my lie, and I let out a sigh of relief.
Well, in this tense situation, no one could keep a clear mind—not even me. But rather than feeling anxious, I was hyper-excited, eagerly awaiting my glorious future.

"T-This… Hori-san!"
A metallic sound of the juice can rang through the silence, turning the zombies' attention straight toward us. The sudden swivel of their heads was terrifying!
"S-Sorry, I didn't notice…"
"There's no time to apologize. Just jump into my arms!"

"Damn it!"
There was no time to explain. I just went to Hori-san, picked her up without her consent, and carried her in my arms.
"W-Wait! Kobayash---"
"Just shut up!"
Was it the situation? Whatever it was, I couldn't help but scold Hori-san harshly as I held her.
I hadn't realized it, but Hori-san… her face was completely flushed!
The harsh scolding… for some reason, it triggered something inside her. Her breath grew heavy, and her heart started racing.
"What is this?"
She couldn't understand it. Why did Kobayashi-kun's stern scolding give her… pleasure?
Yes! She couldn't understand it, but if Ren were here, he'd recognize it instantly. Kyouko Hori, the class rep, a responsible sister, a beautiful girl… and, it turns out, a bit of a masochist.
It was a good feast for my eyes, but unfortunately, I was focused on getting us out of the swarm of zombies.

Zombies lunged at us, trying to take a bite. Damn! One sound had attracted so many!
Without delay, I activated all my skills. [3rd Person Perspective] calmed me down, and [Flow] let me read the direction of the wind, allowing me to judge the trajectory of the attacking zombies.
"Hori-san, hold on tight."
Hori-san tightened her grip, and I… I held her as close as I could. One hand was on her ass, groping it as hard as possible, making her blush. But it wasn't a problem.
In moments of crisis, all perverted thoughts are justified.
Following the flow, I mapped the safest route out. And then I ran.

I sidestepped right, dodging a zombie coming from the left, then ducked to slide under the zombies ahead.
Then, I jumped and climbed the narrow wall beside me, running across it as fast as possible. Moving between zombies, I shocked not only the girl in my arms but myself as well.
Was I this athletic?
The Tutorial's clearances had indeed strengthened me a bit, but I wasn't experienced enough to pull off such smooth parkour moves.
Unknown to me, as I followed the flow, a green hue formed around me, supporting me. It was just like the time I fought Saeko with my sword; that time, the green hue was on the sword, but this time it surrounded me.
The wind was with me.
Not long after, I was out of the swarm and inside the medicine store I'd marked before.
"Hori-san, close the door."
"I-I got it."
Hori-san quickly ran to the door and closed it from inside. Both of us took a relieved breath. The persistence of those zombies… it's top-notch!
"It seems like we escaped, Hori-san."
"It seems like---"

Damn! Was there a zombie inside?
"K-Kobayashi-kun!"
"Hori-san, get behind me!"
Hori-san nodded and stood beside me. I raised my sword. Then, with heavy steps, a fat zombie charged toward us.
From its clothes, it seemed like this zombie had been an employee here. Even as a zombie, it seemed to be protecting the store.
So loyal, even as an undead!
Fortunately, there weren't any more zombies. With all the sound, the others should be outside by now, which meant this employee zombie was the only one left here.
There was no reason to hold back.
Instead of being defensive, I ran straight at it. Sensing my approach, the zombie lunged, trying to bite me.
[Flow Activated]!
As if I'd let myself get eaten here! Only women get to do that!
In that instant, I read the flow, dodged its lunge by rolling under, and, before the zombie could react, hacked off its head from behind.
"Done."
The head fell, rolling slowly until it stopped in front of the trembling Hori-san. She looked at the head, then at me and—
"Mmph!"
"Don't shout."
I rushed over and covered her mouth before she could scream and attract the zombies we'd just escaped. Tears welled in her eyes, and she panicked until, finally, she calmed down.
After a moment, I removed my hand, and Hori-san gasped for breath.
"Hori-san, are you alright?"
"Y-Yes, I'm fine."
Then, her knees gave out, and she fell, crying again.
"What did I do to deserve this? Why is this happening to me? I was just living my simple life. These zombies… these monsters…"
Sigh. Damn, it really is an apocalypse.
