Capítulo 12: Second Supreme

The man's pure black eyes followed him, his grin widened, and his white teeth were exposed, giving the impression that he enjoyed Davy's expression.

In his situation, Davy still had time to observe the man who appeared out of nowhere and seemed to watch him sleep. In Davy's opinion, the man's explosive dark red hair that reached his shoulder made him appear particularly aggressive and arrogant, which paired well with his deep black eyes, which carried a hint of playful demeanor as his grin reached those eyes. Tattoos covered the man's exposed right shoulder and arm, which he couldn't see clearly.

Damn, he cursed. Another hot guy. Davy was certain he was one of the Supremes. His encounter with Fallan gave him the instinct to figure out who they were. Perhaps it was just his instinct as a player.

"You're awake, sleeping beauty," the man's voice said for the first time, and the playful tone couldn't escape him.

What was the deal with this redhead? His brows furrowed, and he looked at the man with a puzzled expression on his face. This action made the man laugh even harder, his loud laugh echoing through the once-quiet room.

The fuck? Was this guy still okay? Davy sat up abruptly with a frown on his face. "Why are you laughing?" he couldn't help but ask, annoyance etched in his tone.

The man's grin hadn't faded as Davy observed how his mischievous gaze swept his body, his gaze lingering longer at Davy's chest as his brows raised playfully. "I see you had a great night, last night?" The teasing tone rose even higher, hinting at something he had not yet realized.

Davy raised his brows, unable to comprehend. What exactly did he mean by "last night"? After a few seconds, his eyes widened in recognition. Looked down at himself frantically. The blood rushed through his face as he quickly gathered the quilt around him. His hand moved so quickly that he covered himself, making sure that his entire body was completely covered. Davy embraced himself, his hot face bowed, and he didn't dare to look the stranger in the eyes. Fuck. This was too embarrassing.

What was the worst of them all? He was actually having a conversation with someone, possibly a Supreme, while wearing only his thin revealing nightgown that perfectly exposed his chest and collarbone. His chest and neck were fucking covered in love bites. Davy, what the fuck?

Even in his humiliating situation, Davy turned and looked at the man who clearly enjoyed his predicament, and the loud laugh reverberated. He glared at the man, his lips pursed, and he forced himself to call him out. He scowled, "Can you stop laughing?"

Seeing how annoyed he was, the man finally suppressed his laugh, but the few teasing glances he cast at Davy made his teeth itch. He had such a punchable face.

As he finally calmed down, the man shook his head, his eyes bright with joy. "You're still as cute as ever, my dear," the man said with a genuine smile.

As he gaped and became still, the hands gripping the quilt to cover his body loosened slightly. Davy's brain registered what he had just heard.

The man's deep black pupils glowed brightly, and joy and even longing shone through them at the same time. His dark red hair highlights his emotions, even more, sending Davy's mood into an inexplicable warmth.

Davy was perplexed by these unexpected feelings because, given that this was his first meeting with this NPC, why was he already having an effect on him? Was this his character's emotion?

Their eyes locked on each other as if they were connected. Davy had only a few seconds to notice the differences between Fallan and the man in front of him.

Fallan's eyes were always calm, and his emotions were always stable, which could be soothing at times but also intimidating. Davy had never read Fallan except for that one time in the dining hall, and even then he was perplexed and had not truly understood him. Perhaps it was also due to Fallan's experience as a ruler who needed to be rational at times.

The man in front of him, on the other hand, was more expressive. His eyes revealed a lot about what he was feeling or thinking. Davy could see that he was delighted, just as he could see that he was happy to see Davy. In comparison to Fallan, he was more of an open book.

Davy deduced his identity based solely on his personality. Draven– the most adventurous of the three. However, didn't Lien say he'd be back in a few days? Wasn't it a little too fast? It wasn't even a day.

This question didn't last long because the man took the initiative to clarify his confusion.

"I rushed back immediately after I got the news, after all, our sleeping beauty often forgot about us," he revealed, adding a teasing remark at the end that seemed to be a statement true in his heart as he said it.

Davy fiddled with the quilt with his fingers, "Forgot about you?" he inquired, and while he did so out of curiosity, he also began to elicit some information.

"Hm... say, do you know who I am?" the man inquired, rising from his seat, and taking a slow step towards the bed, which wasn't all that far away from where he sat. The man smiled sheepishly as if trying to provoke him.

Davy was stunned by the question; it was not what he had expected. Damn, the NPC in this game was designed to mess with his mind. They were so real that he couldn't tell who was the player and who was the NPC between them was.

Still, Davy huffed and clutched the cover to himself as the man sat on the edge of the bed. Their distance shrank as Davy could see the man's features. "Then, what is your name?" he asked, without admitting or denying anything.

A playful glint appeared in his eyes, and his lips arched up into a smirk. Davy expected him to tease him again, but the man responded by agreeing with him and playing along.

"Draven, it seemed like you already knew," Draven joked as he noticed Davy didn't even show a surprised expression, as if he expected it.

He didn't deny it, but instead made a face that made Draven laugh once more. Davy shook his head helplessly; this guy was such a lively individual. Even so, his carefree demeanor soothed Davy's nerves. He spoke with Draven as if they had known each other for a long time. Draven was so outspoken that he seemed to have a lot to say and share with Davy.

"This is the ice sculpture I discovered when I traveled to Ravis, I only noticed it accidentally when I felt the slight fluctuation of energy, then I saw this, I knew you'd like it. This divinity is of lower quality, but as it survives numerous epochs, it gradually formed a consciousness. Too bad it met me, and it couldn't afford to be around me and dissolve." Draven's loud voice occupied the room, with a slight pity tone within them

Draven showed him many artworks and exotic wonders, and his stories varied as Davy listened carefully and absorbed everything he said. It was odd how they both gradually became oblivious to Davy's current appearance. Souvenirs were occasionally shown to him as he sat there covered with a quilt and Draven sat at the edge of the bed recounting his adventures.

Draven patiently and happily obliged each time his eyes showed interest and asked a lot of questions.

"This is the best; you can add it to your collection and display it in our dining room; when I saw it, I knew you'd like it,"

Davy stared at the glowing sphere, which had something inside it that was blinking. He wasn't paying attention to the object because he was focused on what Draven had just said. What did he mean by his collection? Wait, did his character own all the artwork in that dining room? Despite his doubts, he did not interrupt Draven. This was free information, so why would he ruin it?

"I even saw a rare animal, it's quite ugly but has a lot of characteristics, and I had the urge to bring it back to you, but Lyle would definitely not agree."

He perked up his ears at this. Lyle, the third Supreme he had yet to meet. What kind of individual was he?

"Why wouldn't he agree?" he couldn't help but wonder.

Draven paused, looked at Davy, and smiled. His hand reached out and pinched Davy's cheeks. "You have an unhealthy obsession with strange animals," he responded, his tone unusual.

Davy looked at him with his head tilted to the side. He didn't quite understand the connection. Unfortunately, Draven only smiled and didn't elaborate at all.
