"You have sunscreen? And insect repellent?" Helena asked George as he prepared to leave for his camping trip.
"Yes, Lena, I'm fine. And I'm not five." He complained, as Derek, Burke and the Chief watched the altercation. He blushed slightly before asking. "Zip me?"
Helena zipped the boy as she joked, giggling. "See? You five."
"If Callie calls tell her... tell her I'm a mountain man! I'm a man of the mountain. Right, Dr. Burke?" He looked to the man that had invited him to tag along. "Oh, and Izzie baked us treats!" The blond smiled at him.
——
"Derek is camping." Meredith said as the female interns stood in front of the OR board, Izzie now being back. "Taking time, getting space..."
"Prestons do not go into the wood. A guy named Preston is gonna get his ass kicked." Cristina agreed.
"By a squirrel." Helena raised a brow, smiling. "It's basically a slumber party."
"They do it outside, we do it inside, it's the only difference." Izzie agreed, shrugging.
Suddenly, Mark approached them, turning to the girls. "Good morning, Lee." He smirked at her. "You've seen what's-his-face?"
"Alex Karev?" Izzie suggested.
"Poor bastard seems to get a thrill out of tagging along after me." He smirked.
"He's gonna camping, Dr. Sloan." Helena informed him.
"Well, in that case, how'd you like to gets thrill out of tagging along after me, Lee?" He smirked at her suggestively.
The girl contained a smile as she answered. "I'm already with Dr. Montgomery today."
"Well then, that's a shame. What do you say, Dr. Grey?" He turned to the blond, not wanting to show his disappointment that he wouldn't get to work with the girl again.
"Dr. Bailey makes the assignments." The blond answered just as the resident arrived.
"Dr. Bailey says it's fine. Campos, Dr. Montgomery's in exam room 3, go."
——
As Addison did an ultrasound on a pregnant woman and Helena assisted, Callie entered the room.
"Uh, I got a page?" The resident asked.
"Yes, Campos?" The attending instructed.
"Jamie Carr, she slipped and fell in the shower this morning." The short girl told her friend.
"I can't see my own feet, I did this." The woman nodded vaguely to her hand as Callie picked it up, making the woman wince in pain.
"Nasty break. She's not on any meds for the pain?"
"She refused. She's toughing it out." The redhead told her.
"Oh, don't do that. Don't tough it out, just say yes." Callie nodded slightly, giving the woman some advice.
"Well, the baby, I... I know Dr. Montgomery said it was alright but I'll suffer." Callie took the X-ray a nurse gave her and began examining it. "Is he ok? He was kicking like crazy and now..."
"He might just be sleeping." The intern smiled at the couple.
"Our son sleeps. He's just sleeping, Jamie." The baby's father told his girlfriend.
"Do I need a cast?" The blond woman asked the ortho surgeon as Helena noticed the discouraged look on her attending's face. She followed her gaze to the ultrasound, her heart breaking at the sight.
"Definitely, but first we need to straighten the bones. Put your arm in this sort of fancy sling and use gravity to help realign the bones." Callie explained, Helena noticing tears forming on her attending's eyes.
"Will you excuse me, I've gotta..." Addison excused herself as she left the room.
Helena took her gloves out, worried for the woman. "Yes, I have to take care of something really quickly too, I'll be back soon." She smiled reassuringly at the couple, not wanting to startle them, as she bit down on her bottom lip to keep her tears at bay. Once she left the room, she let a tear fall, quickly wiping it away.
As Helena followed Addison to the bathroom, she found the woman had locked herself in a cubicle. Hearing some sniffling, she knocked on the door lightly. "Addison? Are you ok?"
Callie came into the bathroom as well just them, sharing a sympathetic look with Helena, who she'd grown fairly close to.
"Yeah, I'm fine, I'm ok, I'm good." The attending answered, still sniffing.
"Addison, come on, you're not." The intern sighed, her voice soft.
"Don't make me climb over the stall. I'll do it but I'll be really pissed cause I don't know you that well." Callie threatened, resulting in the redhead opening the door. She was crying, a tissue on her hand. "You're not ok."
Helena extended her hand to help the woman up, as she explained. "I don't know why." She approached the sink. "There's no reason that this should affect me this much, I'm used to this, I am but..."!
"Used to what?" Callie asked, a bit lost.
"That woman, she's eight months pregnant. Yesterday she was fine, she was healthy. And today, well... she slipped in the shower and now her baby's dead." Helena let another tear fall, explaining, as Addison sobbed beside her.

Later, as the three women watched the couple from the window, Addison pointed out. "They are a happy couple. Look at that, they love each other. They should have... everything. Happy people should have happy things happen to them."
