Chapter 7: Across the Line
Andrew Fray POV:
I lay on a cot in one of the holding cells at the police station. I had been moved around several times during the night, but I was never told why.
I assumed all of this had something to do with the information I had given Holly, but again, nobody was telling me anything.
Maybe this had to do with the fact that Holly’s superiors might not be as lenient with me as she had been. I was a party to a crime this time; I knew what I was delivering when I had that package, and I had a reasonable assumption of what was going to happen to those women. But I still technically did the right thing. That should get me some slack, right?
My thoughts were interrupted when the door of my cell opened, and an officer stepped through. I thought it might have been one of the two who arrested me last night, but I couldn’t be sure.
“Alright, Fray, you’re free to go,” they told me, gesturing for me to get out.
