Aurora gasped as she covered her mouth with her hand.
"You…you're alive?" She murmured.
"Leave, now!" She stared at him properly with a frown. Why was he being held here in shackles?
"Did you commit a crime, is that why you're held here?" He scoffed.
"You're that child, aren't you?" His voice was low and calm but it still sent a chill down her spine because of how deep it was.
"What Child? Do you know who I am?" She questioned and was about to take a step towards him when he turned to her with a killing intent in his eyes.
"If you come closer to me, I won't be held responsible for killing you." She paused with her eyes wide.
"Why…. Why are you here and do you know me?" He sighed.
"Just leave, Kid." She stared at him for a while then shook her head stubbornly.
"I'm not a kid, I'm seventeen and you called me here, didn't you? I heard your voice in my head…. You needed my help. Do you…"
"I don't need your help, I've never needed anybody's help, now will you get out of here alive or dead? Your choice." He thundered which made her gasp in fear. She took a step backward and was about to turn around and run out of the cave when she noticed a black stake sticking out of his side.
She slowly raised her eyes to meet his and although there was no form of emotion in his eyes, she could feel some emotions radiating from him. Despair, anger…. Regret.
"Doesn't that hurt?" She questioned softly as she pointed at the stake.
"That's none of your business. Leave." Aurora nodded.
"I'll leave but let me…. Let me help you take it out first. I'll take out the stake," He scoffed.
"You can't take it out, it can only be pulled out by an immortal being. You're nothing but a weak wolf, you shouldn't even be regarded as a wolf." She stared at him with a frown.
"I may be weak but I'm not the one being chained down like some animal so who really is the weak one here?" She gasped and covered her mouth with her hand as soon as she said that.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to say that." He opened his mouth to say something when he shook his head and turned his body away from her.
"Leave. I don't need your help." She frowned. She would have left but the way he grimaced when he turned away made her feel sorry for him.
She decided to disregard his warning and took a step toward him. He turned to her with a glare that shook her down to her bones but she suddenly had some newfound confidence that she had never had before. She didn't know if it was because of this cave or the power in it.
She knelt down in front of him and then glanced at his face. Half of his face was covered with his overgrown dark blue hair so she could only see half of his face which was enough to tell her how handsome the man in front of her was.
"Will you let me help you?" She asked gently as she stared into his light gray eyes, trying to read his face but that was proven to be very hard because it was obvious he was very good at hiding his emotions.
"I don't trust you." He said simply which made her smile.
"And I don't trust you either. For all I know you might kill him after I pull out the stake." He nodded.
"I will." A chill ran down her spine as soon as he said that but it wasn't out of fear because, for some reason, she knew he wouldn't kill her.
"Then why don't we both take our chances?" She murmured. He stared at her for some seconds before turning away but that was enough to tell Aurora that he had given her permission to try and pull out the stake.
She took a deep breath and was about to pull out the stake when a vision suddenly crossed her mind. If she removed the stake, he was going to be free. The power that was omitted from the vision made her gasp and move farther away from him.
She turned to him with wide eyes and saw that he was staring at her with confusion in his eyes. She was also confused by where that vision came from and what it meant. Did that mean she was able to see visions now?
"If…. If I remove that stake, what's…. What's going to happen to you?" The way his eyes suddenly turned cold made her blood run cold.
"I'll be free and the first person I'm going to kill is your parents." She gasped as she stared at him with wide eyes. She could see he was dead serious which just made her shake with fear.
"Then I'm not going to pull it out." He smirked.
"I'll still find another way to kill them." Aurora's eyes widened.
"Why? What did they do to you?" He furrowed his eyes and then shook the shackles at her.
"In case you're blind, they imprisoned me here for seventeen years and you're asking me why I want them dead?" She froze after he said that. He has been here since she was born? What and why?
"Why would they imprison you for seventeen years? Why exactly did you do anything to them?" He shook his head with a humorless smile.
"I'm being kept here because of you." Aurora's eyes widened in disbelief. He was being imprisoned because… because of her?
"Why? What have I got to do with this?" He opened his mouth to say something then he suddenly turned towards the door. She hugged herself as his aura suddenly turned sinisterly cold.
"You are about to find out for yourself. Your parents are coming," She gasped and immediately stood up from the ground.
"What?! They can't see me with you, I'll be enclosed in my room for life." He rolled his eyes and didn't seem to care much. She glanced around and searched for a place to hide when he suddenly spoke.
"Come, I'll hide you with my body"...
