Gemma could hear her parents quarreling as she ran down the stairs. While coming here she had a little bit of hope in her that her father was going to say he didn't do any of the things that Miguel had accused him of. She was hoping that Miguel had mistaken her father for someone else, that he has the wrong guy.

She loves her father and has always looked up to him, never in her wildest dream did she ever think that he would do a thing as inhumane as that. Why? Why did he have to do that, why did have to be so wicked?

Gemma stopped in her tracks when she ran into something hard.

"Gemma, are you all right?" Bernal her on both arms preventing her from falling to the floor.

"You are crying, what is wrong?" Bernal asked with concern.

Gemma shook her head and more tears streamed down her cheeks. "Gemma, talk to me what is going on? Did Mama or Papa say something to make you cry? Is this about the divorce?"
