Capítulo 177: Awakened Cockroach
Over in a different part of the city, Saitama was just minding his own business, planning to stroll back home. Little did he know, a gang of monsters had other plans for him. Right now, he was feeling pretty down, so his expression, which was already pretty blank, showed even less emotion.
"I went out of my way to avoid running into Genos, but I guess you don't know I'm in a bad mood, huh..."
Saitama feels frustrated and embarrassed after getting kicked out of the tournament in such a dishonorable way. He felt frustrated because he didn't receive the prize money he had hoped for. On top of that, he was a bit embarrassed because he had been so sure of himself that he even placed a bet on Genos.
"Fuck… Ugh, why did I go and make that stupid bet? Now, I'm completely lost and don't know how to handle things. I won't be getting any rent from Genos this month, and it's turning into a total nightmare…"
A bunch of monsters stood before him, looking all puzzled and unsure after hearing Saitama's ramblings. They seemed at a loss for where to begin, but one of them, clearly lacking patience, couldn't help but interrupt.
"Hey there, human!... today is just your unlucky day, but if you can assist us in locating this child, we'll be generous enough to spare you."
A creepy creature resembling an insect, standing upright on its hind legs, suddenly shoved a photo right in front of Saitama's face.
The picture showed a little kid with big lips and short, light hair with sideburns curling inwards. Saitama couldn't help but notice the child's fancy attire, which gave off an air of wealth. This observation instantly dampened his spirits.
"I don't know anyone as spoiled as that... Besides, I don't care. If you're planning on kidnapping him, go ahead, I couldn't care less. In fact, you should demand a ransom that would bankrupt his parents."
The monsters were taken aback by Saitama's unexpected response. Based on his appearance, they assumed he was a professional hero and expected him to stay silent and fight with all his might.
Well, they were correct, but at this moment, all Saitama desired was to head back home and catch some much-needed shut-eye. He just wanted to put today behind him, especially for Genos. He'll try to convince him that the bet they made yesterday doesn't count.
"So that's the situation, huh? Looks like you're not useful... time to meet your end Human!"
Saitama wasted no time and swiftly struck the monster before it could even react, his punch landing with incredible force. He was throwing punches so fast and furious that all you could see was his shadow lingering in the air.
In an instant, the group of monsters, who appeared incredibly fierce and terrifying, were completely obliterated. As their bodies lay on the ground, some parts still intact, others had already exploded, scattering their insides in every direction.
"Wow, those guys are seriously creepy monsters... but that cockroach-like monster sprinted away even before I could attack? Talk about some impressive instincts!"
Saitama had no interest in going after the monster that had fled. Instead, he simply chose to keep strolling back home. His shoulders, which were already lacking energy, seemed to droop even further.

"Man, this situation is no joke. I had to bolt before I ended up six feet under. Damn, that guy was something else. I mean, seriously, how the hell was he so strong?"
Meet Awakened Cockroach, a formidable monster who miraculously survived Saitama's previous onslaught. He looked absolutely exhausted, gasping for breath as if he had given his all in running away.
He leaned against the wall, desperately searching for something to hold onto. It was hard not to feel sorry for him, given how pitiful he looked.
"He's not even on the list of people we need to be cautious about..."
Awakened Cockroach is like a top-notch soldier, and his mission today was to snatch a child and take out as many pro heroes as possible.
When it comes to strength, he may not be on the same level as Gouketsu, but he's got a lot of confidence in his speed. He believes that only an S-class hero can put a stop to him.

In the midst of this bustling city, Awakened Cockroach darted around with lightning speed. Everything around him came to a slow down as he observed his monster pals engaging in an epic battle against seasoned heroes.
"Is she one of us?... she doesn't think twice about killing humans, but why does she also go after our friends?"
Just a short distance away, Awakened Cockroach spotted a woman who was unmistakably a monster with insect-like features integrated into her body.
She gracefully soared through the air, skillfully dodging the massive stones hurled by a fearsome gorilla monster. Behind her, a group of humans watched in a mix of bewilderment and fear. They were a bit confused by the situation unfolding before their eyes, but they found some comfort in the fact that the woman seemed to be looking out for them. At least, that's what they believed.
"Hahaha... Today is going to be so much fun. I can already picture it!"
"What's up, you jerk... aren't you also part of the Monster Association?"
As the woman effortlessly evaded his attack, the gorilla monster realized that she hadn't really been taking their fight seriously all along. This only heightened his anxiety, adding an extra layer of unease.
"But I gotta admit, it's a bit concerning... I mean, who knows how powerful I'll get once I've had a taste of the blood of every monster and human in this city... Hahaha!"
The gorilla monster still had something to say, but the woman who had been dancing in the air suddenly vanished.
His body also suddenly became limp. he could feel something flowing from his chest, and when he looked down, the woman's figure had already stuck her slender hand into his chest.
But it doesn't end there. The woman wastes no time in getting rid of the very group of humans she had tried to protect earlier. Awakened Cockroach couldn't help but shudder uncontrollably. It was impossible not to, especially when the woman burst into laughter, her body drenched in the blood of both monsters and humans.
"I'm sorry, Kaiser, but I can't pass up this opportunity... even though their blood is not enough, their expressions just now brought me joy."
Awakened Cockroach has this eerie ability to seamlessly blend into its dark surroundings with its unique half-human, half-cockroach body. After simply observing for a while, he finally made up his mind to leave. But before doing so...
"I've been keeping an eye on you, you know..." All of a sudden, the woman creepily turned her head. Just like before, her body vanished from her place. And when she reappeared, she was already standing right in front of him.
"You're not the one Kaiser is searching for... I don't see any issue with taking your life..."
"Hold on, I'm not involved in this at all... I'm just another insect monster like you. Can you please let me go?" Awakened Cockroach suddenly grasped the horror of this woman. Despite her mere grip on his shoulder, he found himself completely immobilized.
"Nope, you are strong enough to even match the speed of my shadow. It's obvious that I'll definitely drain your blood... maybe you can assist me in evolving even more."
