Capítulo 293: His Promise

Varya and Basileus went up two steps until they were standing in front of the advisor. Her hand lingered in his but she soon pulled away and got into the spot intended for her. 

The advisor asked them both, "Do you both promise to bare your soul for the empire as we join two houses under one marriage?" 

"We do," the couple answered in sync with one another. 

"Please, sit at the altar and join in hands while I recite the offering the two of you are making in front of the empire today," he said after hearing their confirmation. 

There were two cushions sitting next to each other. One was in dark green to signify the Vance household Varya had created when she and Ebari got married, the other was navy blue signifying the royal rank of Prince Basileus.

They stepped forward and kneeled, just as they had practiced the day before.
