Capítulo 41: In The Hospital

Varya's eyes opened suddenly, and she didn't recognize her surroundings. The harsh lighting of the environment around her caused her to squint. The stark white of the place she had just woken up in was a huge contrast to the more muted room she normally stayed in at the brothel.

The last thing she remembered was feeling guilty about sleeping in too late for her shift at the bar. She knew Fidia was going to have to face the patrons on her own if she didn't show up, but Varya couldn't find the energy to get out of bed.

At the thought of losing her job and being sent back to Emperor Kruos, her heart started racing and she tried to sit up. She was only able to move forward a couple of inches due to the pillows stacked behind her.

Having only just woken up from a deep sleep, she lifted her hands to her face, trying to rub her eyes as they adjusted to the lighting. The more aware she became, the more she started noticing her surroundings.
