I was woken up by the beeping of the machines. 

I looked around and saw Nanay Hermie trying to fight her sleep. 

Her head was banging but she immediately kept opening her eyes widely. 

When she saw me awake, she excitedly stood and smiled at me. 

I thought she'd approach me immediately, but she went to the couch and wake up Paul. 

I was disappointed to see my husband was still here. I am so mad at him that I don't want to see him. 

My husband approached me and said his apologies again, but I couldn't really answer him. I cannot talk to him because I might say foul words that can make our situation worse. 

I just let my tears freely flow from my eyes to ease the anger and hatred within me. 

After a while, the door opened, and Hannah came in. 

She looks so exhausted. 

But when she saw me awake, her face was delighted, and rushed towards me. 

"Naya how are you?" she immediately asked.
