"So, you found me?"

Hephaestus dragged her chin, as if the burning red eyes reflected Cyd's somewhat cramped silhouette.

"And a little fellow," Hephaestus glanced at Medusa, who was hiding behind Cyd.

"I don't want you to give me some advice." Cyd rubbed his hands in embarrassment. When he came to this bronze palace, Hephaestus, a god who basically did not go out, actually basked in the sun at the door, but Cyd could see that Hephaestus was waiting for him.

"You should ask Athena for help, she likes to do this kind of thing the most," Hephaestus pointed to the wheelchair under her.

Cyd scratched his head and circled behind Hephaestus and pushed her into the palace.

"But aside from her skills, she also likes to test heroes. Others will be very happy to be famous, but you are different," Hephaestus pointed to the location of the workshop, "You don't like trials."

"Because the trials you've arranged are deadly enough," Cyd sullenly pushed Hephaestus into the workshop.

Medusa stopped, touched the chin and looked at the maids walking around. It was obvious that they had no life, but it was no different from life. Even she sincerely wanted to sigh the hands of this god.

"Now come in with little fellow." Hephaestus patted the door, "I'm not like everyone else."

"Thank you," Medusa pulled her head into the black robe and walked behind Cyd.

"I can't do anything, I can only strike iron," Hephaestus raised her finger, "so I'll just give you weapons."

"But I don't have the materials," Cyd touched his pocket, which was empty.

"Don't worry, some nasty guy dragged a big guy here not long ago and said it was yours," Hephaestus patted her forehead, "It made a good weapon."

"It's not like a big knife, right?" Cyd was a little confused, it wasn't that he didn't know how to use these weapons, but it was simply inconvenient to hold, and what if he lost it?

"That's not for you, and I can build more than those rough things," Hephaestus raised his hand in the direction of the furnace, and the fiery lava immediately boiled, and a dark object emerged from the lava. It rushed out and flew straight to Hephaestus.

Cyd raised his brows and stood in front of Hephaestus to catch the object. The splash of lava fell on his arm, and the flames engulfed his right arm instantly.

"You don't have to," Hephaestus looked at Cyd in confusion.

"Subconsciously," Cyd threw up the object in his hand, stretched out his right hand and passed through it, the tiny scales quickly meshed on Cyd's right arm, and a cloak composed of scales pierced through it and dropped on his shoulders.

"Gloves made of dragon scales and nerves with divine iron," Hephaestus tapped on the armrest of the wheelchair.

"I don't need defense... oh oh oh oh!" Just as Cyd twisted his wrist, black's scales rhythmically moved as if alive, and black's rays of light were on the scales. Flowing between, under Cyd's excited eyes, the rays of light of black completely overflowed into a translucent dragon claw.

"The dragon's nerves will synchronize with your mind. This weapon is just like your organ. If you need a weapon, it will become a weapon, and if you need a shield, it will become a shield." Hephaestus pulled the cape on Cyd's shoulders, "You have to discover this guy's abilities yourself."

"It's amazing!" Cyd waved his right hand, which had become a dragon claw, with star-filled eyes. "Anything else!"

Now he's looking forward to what the strongest Blacksmith will do with the rest of the dragon!

"No," Hephaestus snapped her nails, "because it's so big and it's starting to stink, so I've thrown it in the lava and burned it."

"Huh?" Cyd's expression froze, "Dragon's teeth or something..."

"You can go to lava to fish, maybe there are more left," Hephaestus pointed and returned. In the bubbling lava, "but it probably won't work anymore."

Cyd wanted to vomit blood a little, but thought that without Hephaestus he wouldn't be able to get his gauntlet, so he had to be content.

"If you want dragon teeth so much, I can give you a bunch of them," Hephaestus said, puzzled.

"Yeah~ I just think it's a bit wasteful," Cyd patted his forehead.

"That kind of... huh?" Hephaestus narrowed his eyes, showing a serious expression Cyd had never seen before, "Who made that for you around your neck?"

"This?" Cyd touched the lion's tooth necklace on his neck. It had been under his clothes before, but it seemed to be exposed when he was helping Hephaestus.

"The prop that a friend helped me make is said to be a necklace that can pray for victory."

"Hmph, it's just a little magic trick to make you lucky, that's it." Hephaestus moved her right leg to her left, and then put her hands around her chest, "If you really want the props to lead you to victory, I will build a bunch for you in minutes."

"Well~ after all, it's someone's kindness," Cyd tucked the necklace back into his clothes, always feeling that Hephaestus hated the Medea necklace around his neck.

"Good intentions...?" Hephaestus said meaningfully, "Do you understand ancient script?"

"Not at all."

"No wonder you would you accept this necklace so easily," Hephaestus sighed, "did you not notice the writing on those tusks?"

"Isn't that a pattern?" Cyd touched his chin, then looked towards Medusa, "It doesn't look like words when it's crooked, what do you think?"

"I don't know," Medusa said that she was not very literate.

"Relax, Hephaestus-sama, the curse of that girl with Apollo-sama's blessing is useless to me. I have tried the medicine she gave me before," Cyd said indifferently and shrugged.

"Curse? Who knows~ But Cyd, you have to remember that in the eyes of mortals, God may be incapable, but we also have things we can't do," Hephaestus pointed to her double legs, "Apollo's Blessing will keep any curse out of your reach, but some things can't be dispelled."

Cyd swallowed.

"But it's up to you to find out for yourself."

"Why this!"

In the end, coax and pester spent a long time and Hephaestus didn't help Cyd interpret Medea's writings. And after that, the helpless Cyd had to continue the journey of trial.

Hephaestus in the wheelchair slowly closed her eyes.

"[Offer my burning love towards my hero]?"

Hephaestus shook the head.

"He doesn't belong to you, innocent little girl."

———

"Speaking of which..." Medusa pointed to the back of Cyd's right hand, and there was a row of tiny text on the black scales, "This is very similar to the ancient text inscribed by Medea."

"It's just not the same at the end."
