Capítulo 6: Ch 6 Learning Rules
"Read 'em and weep boys that's 4 of a kind, 15000 berries to me" I said as I took the money the player in front of me scowls but looks at me as I stand up and does nothing.
Finally, my height is useful, despite it not giving me more strength it is quite intimidating and my reach in battle will be greater than most players.
I've been hanging in this bar for 4 hours now and I think it's finally time to log out. During this time I've learned a few new things, leveling takes time and the highest level guy in the bar was level 3.
Next, some players tried to leave the island but were told that no player could leave until 2 weeks had passed, different players had different times meaning that each player must stay on the island for 2 weeks since they joined the game.
STR stat seems to just increase your physical strength, AGI your speed and balance, while VIT increases your Health and Stamina. Your health is VIT x10 and there is no stamina bar but people say VIT makes it easier to work longer.
Nobody has figured out what INT or CHA did yet but most assume they work in the background.
Many players gained skills like swordsmanship, brawling, marksmanship, and swimming. Players who were taught at the training academy gained skill levels more quickly.
Combat skills have manual and automatic settings. Automatic makes your body move according to your skill level and manual is for when you've learned through automatic. One guy said that when using skills manually you deal more damage
Some players got crafting skills like tailoring and chemistry, they said that when making something a crafting system appears that gives suggestions on improvements and how to achieve what you are aiming for that seems based on skill level and maybe INT.
A player attempted to make a potion that grants a strength boost when all he was supposed to be making was basic antidotes. All that the crafting system told him was insufficient Knowledge and insufficient stats, meaning if he had that the system would help him create the potion.
Lastly, someone already died trying to punch a dire bear he was apparently allowed to respawn though he kept his level 1 brawling skill he lost 20% of all his stats but not his level 2 so the whole process is still kind of mysterious, but that's all I know.
I press the log-out button and suddenly I'm in my room with my headset on. I take it off and look around my room still devoid of one piece merch, it's morning now and the sun is shining. I look at my computer and see that my friends are already on discord so I join them.
"And he's super good looking I just can't compete" Bart cries out as I enter.
"Talking about me I assume, it's ok Bart you're not too bad yourself" I say.
"Hey man, no I'm talking about this new streamer Amethyst a model who's switching to streaming OPO, as for you… life's tough man" Bart replies.
"Ouch" Charlie buts in.
"Fuck you guys" I say with a giggle
"So, the games awesome what did you guys do?" I ask changing the topic.
"Ya right I went to the training grounds and picked up some swordsmanship from the trainer there then I went to the forest to kill some wolves" he continued.
"Only killed 3 though managed to level up the ate some great food, plus I got 50 concurrent viewers on my stream I'm moving up" Bart finished.
"But this Amethyst guy also just started streaming and he got 5k viewers" Charlie says while Bart just huffs.
"I also went to the training grounds and picked up some marksmanship the bullets cost more but it's worth it being out of the fight" Charlie said.
"But how many shots did you miss?" Bart asked.
"Only 13 that's great for a beginner, you want to see a real loser look at this" Charlie replied and sent a link to chat.
I clicked it but was floored, the video was of me just spawning in and was shot from behind so Charlie didn't seem to recognize me. The video continued as showed me falling on my face and crawling into the alley luckily it stops there.
"Lol what an idiot, why would he choose to be so tall?" Bart said while laughing
"I know right" Charlie joined in too.
"That's me assholes I thought being tall would be cool ok!" I shouted and they went silent for a moment then started laughing even louder.
"No way" Bart cried out.
"At least your more famous than Bart, the video got 1 million views" Charlie said.
I looked at the views and then the title Tumbling Giant OPO. Motherfucker I looked at the channel and sure enough, it was DouxBurst the ginger cunt that laughed at me learning to walk.
Just you wait Doux I'll get my revenge.
"Guess you spent your day learning to walk huh" Charlie said.
"Actually I spent my day learning in the library" I said all fancy-like.
"So I guess we know whos losing our fight for the captain spot" Bart chimed in.
"Actually I was thinking of that I think we should fight after 3 months in-game" Charlie states to us.
"Why" I ask.
"Well to see who the best captain is we need time to gain skills and assemble crews. I think we should have us and our crews fight, the winner will be the captain and our crews merge into one mega crew" Charlie explained.
"I thought it was going to be a 1v1v1 fight and then we assemble a crew, but your idea sounds good, what do you think Bart?" I say.
"Sounds awesome I'll assemble the great Sleepy Pirates and wipe the floor with you lot" Bart exclaims while we all agree to the new terms, chat some shit and end the call.
Before heading off for the night I look at some posts surrounding OPO and find one by NarcolepticThief the post reads.
Hey guys was talking to some NPCs about islands to go to in the East Blue this old lady who I helped pick apples for told me to stay away from Tequila wolf it's apparently some large 700-year-old Bridge between islands that's still being built, she said that people live on the bridge and are being forced build it. Why do the Marines allow this? Anyway, I got this awesome achievement.

Basically a huge info dump I want to get this all out of the way so I can just write the adventure while everyone understands the rules of the game.
