If Aris didn't care about Gabriela anymore then wasn't that his wish from long ago, then why did she ask him?

Sarah sighed then put down her bag roughly and sat on the couch in her daughter's room, "Why don't you take your husband to the airport?"
Gabriela gets lazy when her mother talks about her husband.
