“Blessed?” Jennet got even more confused.
Hue chuckled on his chair. “I just realized that you are pregnant.”
“What?!” Jennet slapped the table in surprise.
Hue took her hand in his without erasing the smile off his face. “Yes, you are pregnant, and that golden mark on your forehead is the proof that you are carrying my child.”
Jennet froze in her seat as if a bucketful of ice water was poured over her. Her mind was in chaos over the unexpected news. She grabbed the fork with shaky hands. Pregnant?
She eyed him. Disbelief took over her conscience. She reached up and touched her forehead. Then, she looked at him. “You can see the mark?"
Last week, the mark was not visible to the naked eyes and since then, she had been ignoring its existence because she thought it must be something that shouldn’t be fussed about.
