Capítulo 878: There Can Only Be One Dark Lord in the Wizarding World!

Editor: Atlas Studios

Seeing this, Ivan was momentarily stunned, before realising that Dumbledore was referring to the Deathly Hallows.

It seems, then, that the disappearance of the Elder Wand was not an accident, but the result of Dumbledore's careful arrangements…

Ivan, however, has difficulty understanding why Dumbledore would do such a thing.

In the original timeline, the Headmaster was worried that Voldemort would be unstoppable after his death, so he took the risk of setting up a trap for Voldemort.

The Triumvirate was instrumental in the death of Lord Voldemort.

In Ivan's opinion, however, luck was at least half of the reason Harry was winning.

Given the circumstances, there was absolutely no need for Dumbledore to resort to such devious, luck-based schemes, as Voldemort was no match for him.

If not for the fact that he was holed up in the safe room with his life-saving abilities almost maxed out and two more Horcruxes yet to be dealt with, he would have gone to the door to deal with this last threat.

Wait, the safe house… Ivan thought of the possibility that if Voldemort got his hands on the Elder Wand, he would be so confident that he would leave the safe house to seek revenge.

It would be interesting if that were the case.

The Elder Wand's unique trait was that when its owner was defeated, the ownership of the wand would shift. Technically, he was the owner of the Elder Wand, and all the magic that Voldemort cast with that wand would not work on him.

The more Ivan thought about it, the more likely it seemed. However, Dumbledore's actions made him suspect that there was more to the matter than meets the eye. After all, the problem of Horcruxes had not been resolved, and Voldemort was virtually immortal at this stage, so there was little point in defeating him.

Ivan considered this for a long time, but was unable to come to a conclusion. The only thing he was certain of was that Dumbledore's plan was not against him, otherwise he would not have written to remind him not to pursue such intangible things.

"Sir Harls, did Albus Dumbledore say anything in his letter?" Pierce asked curiously, seeing Ivan's expression change as he held the letter.

"Take a look for yourself!" Ivan flipped the letter over and handed it over.

Intrigued, Pierce took it from her and scanned it, his expression growing more and more surprised.

He had assumed that Dumbledore had left behind a will and placed many protective measures in an attempt to expose the evil face of Ivan Hals to the populace, or simply to rally righteous wizards and witches against him.

However, this letter did not mention this, and Dumbledore even intended to give the Sword of Gryffindor at Hogwarts to Ivan.

This turn of events caught him off guard. Pierce read the letter carefully and then looked up at Ivan. He strongly suspected that Ivan Harris had secretly altered the will while he was distracted.

Ivan immediately read Pierce's mind, shook his head, and snapped, "I told you that Voldemort was the one who killed Dumbledore, and I am quite close to the Headmaster, which is why he gave me the Sword of Gryffindor!"

'Is that right?' Pierce was confused. 'Was I mistaken?'

Ivan didn't bother to explain further. He waved Pierce away and instructed him not to reveal Dumbledore's will until he had confirmed that there was no danger to them.

Naturally, Pierce didn't dare to disagree. Despite his questions, he left the room swiftly.

Soon, only one person was left in the empty room. Ivan put away the two letters and the Deluminator, then turned his attention to the system's mission column.

The Dark Lord's Rise

Objective: Rule the British wizarding community

Task Progress: 89%

Legendary Points: 4

Task description: Your evil plan has been an unprecedented success and the entire wizarding world will be in your shadow for the foreseeable future!

Remarks: Defiants remain in hiding, and there can only be one Dark Lord in the wizarding world…]

Looking at the description in the taskbar, Ivan didn't know how to comment on it, or if he was used to it, but he did gain a bit of lore after Dumbledore's funeral.

This was not a new legend, but the title of the Dark Lord had been upgraded!

Why don't you just call the Dark Lord Raising System? Ivan grumbled to himself, but was disappointed when the task was not completed.

He did not expect Voldemort's death to account for one-tenth of the task of ruling Britain…

However, eradicating this threat would not be easy.

He took care of all the helpful Horcruxes, leaving Nagini, the Serpent, to hide in the safe house, and Harry, the Humanoid Horcrux, to deal with!

More importantly, there was no guarantee that Lord Voldemort would not go so far as to create an eighth Horcrux!

This was not entirely impossible, as Tom's mind worked in such a way that no one with half a brain would be able to understand it.

Normally, a Horcrux would be sufficient to prevent accidents.

Perhaps he needed to know something about Horcruxes in order to find a way to break them…

With that in mind, Ivan did not hesitate any longer. With a gentle wave of his wand, he summoned the copy of Secrets to be placed on the bookshelf.

… .

A few days passed in the blink of an eye, and Ivan's research into Horcruxes was hampered. This was the most profound and dangerous magic he had ever seen, and it concerned the very essence of a wizard: the soul!

Even the contents of the book were limited, and Ivan had to go through many more books on the subject of Dark Magic in order to find a few words about Horcruxes.

The more she studied the matter, the more difficult it seemed to her.

This was because Voldemort's split soul had been attached to Harry's body since he was a child.

Now, more than a decade later, the two are so deeply entwined that forcibly separating them by magic would result in irreparable damage to Harry's soul.

Yvonne had hoped that a Dementor would devour the portion of Harry's soul that belonged to Lord Voldemort, but thinking about it now, she realised that it would be very difficult to do so.
