Capítulo 749: The Third Dream

Editor: Atlas Studios

Why can't the rewards of the school year be Legendary Points?

Yvonne thought greedily, while Harry complained to Ron that he had to return to the Dursleys as usual this summer.

There was no need for him to stay there when his protective magic was nearly useless.

"Professor Dumbledore must have had his reasons for doing so, in case the spell was still working," Hermione guessed.

"But Voldemort confirmed that he was not injured when he touched me directly that night…" Harry said sullenly. "Voldemort also told me that he wanted to use my blood to revive himself so that he could gain the protection of the Dark Arts, which would make him stronger than ever…"

"But he still lost to Professor Dumbledore, didn't he?" Ron said easily.

"Yes! There's no point in thinking about it now. Things will get better with Professor Dumbledore around!" Hermione added.

Harry's spirits were lifted by their comforting words, and he let go of his troubled thoughts.

Yvonne shook her head as she watched the group chat, wondering if they would still be so optimistic if they knew that Dumbledore was unlikely to survive the year.

Ivan knew exactly why Dumbledore had insisted that Harry stay at the Dursley house.

Voldemort, through the Resurrection Ritual, inherited some of the power of the Dark Arts, allowing him to touch Harry directly.

What Voldemort does not know is that by doing so, he will instead make himself a link to the Blood Magic, greatly reinforcing this protection, so that even when Harry comes of age, the Blood Magic will not lose its power …

Ivan even suspected that Lord Voldemort's return to power was the result of Dumbledore's willful disregard for him, and perhaps even manipulation.

This was because Harry had once said that during his duel with Voldemort, there was a faint voice in his head that instructed him to act, much like Dumbledore's.

Normally, a flashback spell would not have that effect!

However, this speculation was obviously not valid.

After all, the situation was so urgent that Harry would have died if he and Sirius had been a moment later!

Furthermore, Dumbledore was unlikely to sit idly by while Sirius and Moody were under the influence of the Imperius Curse, and the expressions on Dumbledore's face when they met were anything but theatrical.

A thousand thoughts flashed through Ivan's mind, one after another. He had a headache thinking about it, but he could not make heads or tails of it. In the end, he put the matter aside for the time being and turned to Hermione to ask her.

"What about that notebook I gave you last time? Hermione?"

"Is this it? I've been carrying it!" Hermione rummaged through the suitcase where the Extension Charm had been cast and found a thick notebook.

"Have you read it all?" Ivan asked.

Hermione nodded. She had memorized the contents of the book a month ago, and kept it with her as a souvenir.

After checking with the young witch, Ivan took the notebook and threw it at Harry.

"What is this? Some sort of mind-sealing spell?" Harry asked, taking the heavy book from her and opening it to read.

"That's right," Ivan said. "It's called Occlumency, to be precise! Practice it more this summer, and you'd better have a rudimentary grasp of it by the beginning of next year!"

"So what does it do?" Harry asked, genuinely confused.

"It protects your brain from Lord Voldemort's influence," Ivan said sternly.

Harry understood at once.

However, Harry soon had another problem, as he was unable to use magic while at home during the summer holidays, and the Ministry of Magic was able to trace the traces of his magic through his Trace.

He had broken the rules twice in a row, and if he did so a third time, the Ministry would break his wand and expel him from Hogwarts.

Ivan thought this made sense. The Dursleys would not tolerate Harry practising magic at home, so they immediately changed their tune and told Harry to memorize these notes during the summer holidays, as Dumbledore would probably ask Snape to teach Harry Occlumency next year.

It would not be too late to lay the foundations now and learn them later.

"All of it… memorized?" Harry flipped through the hundreds of pages of notes in front of him and swallowed hard, thinking he had a busy summer ahead of him.

In the end, however, Harry reluctantly agreed.

"By the way, if I mastered this spell, would I never have those dreams again?" Harry asked suddenly.

"If you're skilled enough at Occlumency, you'll be able to prevent You-Know-Who from invading your brain!" Ivan replied confidently.

Harry's face became troubled, and he opened his mouth to speak but stopped himself.

Ivan immediately guessed what he was thinking and shook his head.

"I should have warned you, Harry! Never believe what you see in your dreams, let alone try to use it to gain information! Voldemort was a master of Legilimency and Occlumency, and I thought I had taught you a lesson this time — that the information you gave us almost got you killed!"

If all went well, Lord Voldemort would soon have his own undercover agents working for him, the kind that were kept absolutely secret, even more so than Snape, who would not raise any suspicions.

As such, Ivan did not need Harry to give him information that he did not know was true, in case Harry had been duped into falling for an ambush, as in the original timeline.

Hermione chimed in. "Ivan's right, Harry, forget the dreams! You're only seeing what You-Know-Who wants you to see!"

Harry, who was about to say something, decided to keep his mouth shut, and brooded about the dream he had the day before, in which the snake had returned and Voldemort's wounds had healed…

This is faster than anyone expected!

He also saw Lucius, Macnair, and… Snape!

The Death Eaters were all gathered in one room, with Lord Voldemort berating them and praising Snape, as if they were planning something…

Everything in the dream seemed to blur so much that Harry couldn't tell if it was real or fake…

Sob, sob, sob…

The sudden roar of a train interrupted Harry's thoughts, and he turned to look out of the window. The familiar stations of Nine and Three-quarters were within sight.

The Hogwarts special train slowed to a stop with a long cry. They had arrived!

… .

(PS: The end of the fourth book! In addition, you may have misunderstood Voldemort's strength. McGonagall, Kingsley, and Slughorn combined were unable to defeat Voldemort.)

Harry explained that after he "sacrificed himself" like Lily, the protective power of the Blood Magic was spread to everyone Harry wanted to protect, so Voldemort's magic was greatly weakened.
