Capítulo 171: Five-0 x Five-0!Reader
You shrugged your blazer on, ready to head out to meet the governor. Nerves made your hands shake, you made your way to the governor's office. He promised you that Five-0 wasn't like the other teams, they were more accepting. You got out of the elevator, twisting your fingers, Steve caught sight of you. He headed over, his boots clicked on the floor. "Hey, Y/N?" You nodded shyly. "Steve McGarrett." He held his hand out, you shook it. He led you to his office, you sat in front of his desk as he sat behind it.
Steve remembered his meeting with the governor, how that you were young, about a year younger than Kono. He was also told that you were shy but that you had genius level intellect. Steve smiled at you. He was kinder than the others you had worked under, he did have the strict Navy thing going on but it also came with a feeling of safety. "I'll introduce you to the others." Steve led you out of his office and towards the large computer screen set up that had three people crowded around it. Steve waved his hand towards the ragtag group. He pointed towards a blond man, who was standing with his arms crossed. "Guys, this is Y/N, our new member. Y/N, this is Danno." Danno rolled his eyes, "Danny." He smiled warmly at you, holding out his hand. You shook his hand, with a shy smile. "Read some really good things about you, Y/N." A slender, gorgeous woman held her hand out bouncing on the balls of her feet. "I'm Kono, its really nice to meet you." She smiled winningly at you. The final man looked over at you with a stern expression, his face broke out in a wide smile. "I'm Chin, welcome to Five-0." You inhaled lightly with another shy smile.
Steve's phone rang, "another case, lets go." The murder case was difficult, but you were able to draw on your knowledge on hidden codes you were able to help find the location of the killer. You were beginning to feel like you were comfortable with this ragtag group of crime solvers. You all drove over to where the suspect was hiding out. You were paired with Chin, you both covered the back with some uniforms. While Kono went through a side door, Steve and Danny took the front. The suspect fired a couple of shots at Steve and rounded a corner running into you and Chin. You both ducked into a doorway when he aimed at you two. His gun jammed and you moved shooting him in the arm causing him to fall back.
Once the case was all squared away, the killer had confessed and had been arrested after being treated. You were grabbing your gear, you were ready to get home. Chin stopped at your doorway, knocking on the wooden frame. "We were going to get dinner, Steve's paying...we think." You smiled. "You want to join us?" You nodded and grinned. As you headed out the door with the team, jokes flying around you, you felt something you hadn't before acceptance with a team. You all filed into the elevator, Danny turned to Steve. "So, you're paying for dinner, right?" Steve turned to his partner, he sighed, "Yes, Danny, I'm buying." Danny nodded, lips pursed. "Show me your wallet then, cause every time we go out you forget your wallet leaving me someone else to pay." Danny's voice was indignant. Kono chuckled with Chin's own laughter mixing in, your own laughter bubbled out.
