You had no idea how it started but you were damn sure you were not going to lose whatever this was. You and Benji had been locked in a movie quote war. Basically, you had only talked in movie quotes for most of the mission, it had been driving Ethan crazy, Luther had found it annoying and Brandt had found it hilarious and had interjected with a few of his own at times. "They've done it again." Ethan stormed into the room where you were all holed up. "They robbed another casino?" Luther questioned. You turned to Benji and nodded sagely, "We rob banks." Benji snorted, and you added, "Round up the usual suspects." Benji began to check the security footage to check it hadn't been tampered with. "What information do we have?" Brandt asked Ethan. "They killed the agents in the bank and made off with another as a hostage before killing him once they were outside the police cordon. They got away with over thirty million dollars." You watched the security footage on your screen as Benji scanned the footage on his. "I see dead people." You sang lightly.
Benji scoffed, "La-dee-da, la-dee-da." Brandt rolled his eyes as you and Benji continued the game. You stood and headed towards the room that housed your suspect. "What are you going to do?" You paused at the doorway and looked over your shoulder, "I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse." Ethan drew in a sharp breath, as you quoted another film. "Is it safe?" Benji questioned. Ethan's eyebrows meet in the middle, "I don't understand that reference." Luther answered Ethan, "Marathon Man, 1976." Ethan nodded and rolled his eyes. You returned with no information, sighing "BANG goes that theory." Brandt's mouth twitched as he tried not to smile. Benji grinned as something dinged on his computer, "Wait a minute, wait a minute. You ain't heard nothin' yet!" You all crowded around Benji's computer. Luther began to explain what was going on when it became clear that Benji refused to lose the game that had somehow started.
You all began to suit up ready for the upcoming confrontation. Benji walked over to you and began adjusting the mini camera and the earpiece. "All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up." Benji laughed, "Here's looking at you, kid." You grinned at him, before adjusting his cameras and earpiece. "I have always depended on the kindness of strangers." He deadpanned. Ethan handed out photos of your targets for another quick once over. "I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog, too!" You muttered cackling for effect. Brandt snickered. "Go ahead, make my day." Benji replied, Luther and Ethan rolled their eyes. You shouldered your weapon quipping, "Toto, I've got a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore." Benji was quicker on the uptake than Brandt. "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."
"The plans changed." Ethan suddenly announced. You turned to Benji and said in a rush. "Well, here's another nice mess you've gotten me into!" Brandt laughed loudly at the pouty tone you used. Ethan turned around and pointed his finger at the pair at you in order to cement his next words. "I don't want another single pop culture reference out of you for the rest of the trip. You understand?" You both nodded, before turning to each other once Ethan was safely out the door and down the stairs, "Carpe diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary." You smirked at him. Benji laughed as you headed out into the fray.
