Capítulo 15: The Concubines

Rowan's smile faded as he contemplated on what to share about the concubines. Given that Natalia was the actual mate, he understood her reservations.

It didn't help that she came to the palace last. He took a deep breath before he started to talk about the other four women.

Mirabel was the first one. Her mate was killed for refusing to hand her to the king. She hates Atlas with a passion for the death of her mate, not knowing that her father was the one that ordered her mate to be killed to connect with the king.

The relationship between the King and Mirabel is rocky as it is. To put it bluntly, Mirabel would rather be anywhere else than at the palace. In this sense, she was no different from Natalia.

Sadly for her, she has no other place to go due to the greedy nature of her father. It's a pity that the woman blames the person who sheltered and provided for her instead of the one who sold her off.
