Capítulo 604: I Killed Your Mother for Your Own Good

Charles was a bit worried about Erik's situation.

However, inside the submarine's secret chamber, the two men didn't immediately start fighting.

Sebastian Shaw stared deeply at Magneto, puzzled as he asked, "Erik, there's something I can't figure out. Why are you helping those species that are destined for extinction? Once they realize they're going to lose their dominance, they'll eradicate us completely."

Erik remained silent, raising his fist in rage and striking the other man hard in the face. However, Sebastian Shaw didn't budge an inch.

Shaw could absorb nuclear energy, let alone withstand a punch from Magneto. Even though this punch carried all the anger and hatred Erik had accumulated over the years, it still had no effect on Sebastian Shaw.

Meanwhile, outside, Riptide took advantage of the chaos in his chase with Angel to rescue Havok, who had been cornered by soldiers. But Angel persisted, destroying Riptide's glider. With the last of their strength, Riptide and Havok crashed onto the beach.

Salvadore pressed forward threateningly. Havok had lost his energy concentrator and could no longer fire precise high-energy blasts, but at that moment, he had no other choice. He threw a crimson energy ring at her. While his accuracy had always been poor, this time, it was remarkably on target, destroying half of Salvadore's wing and causing her to crash as well.

Now, two of Sebastian Shaw's key subordinates were down, leaving only Azazel, who was still locked in battle with Beast. Beast, or Hank, had tough skin and immense strength, making him formidable in close combat. But Azazel's teleportation ability was a perfect counter to Beast's slightly clumsy fighting style, leaving Hank struggling to keep up.

Their fight moved from the warship to the island. Just as Azazel pinned Beast down and prepared to pierce Hank's eye with his sharp tail, Sebastian Shaw suddenly appeared, calling out, "Stop, Azazel!"

Azazel, of course, followed his boss's orders and spared Beast's life. However, he sensed something was off. By all accounts, Shaw should be busy absorbing nuclear energy right now and wouldn't have time to intervene.

The audience watching outside the screen was equally confused. They had clearly seen Sebastian Shaw still in the submarine, facing off against Magneto. How had he managed to deal with Erik so quickly?

Offscreen, Erik raised an eyebrow and smiled slightly. "That Shaw is actually Raven in disguise. She's finally learned how to use her abilities properly."

Just as Erik said, in the video, while Azazel was distracted, Beast took the opportunity to knock him unconscious. At the same time, "Sebastian Shaw" slowly transformed into the blue-skinned Raven (Mystique). The two shared a smile, their teamwork more synchronized than ever.

Raven, Hank, Alex, and Sean had indeed made significant progress under Charles's emergency training. Compared to their initial encounter with Sebastian Shaw, where they had been helpless and confused, it was as if they had undergone a complete transformation.

After a fierce struggle, they managed to take down most of Shaw's key subordinates. However, inside the submarine, the battle between Erik and Sebastian was becoming increasingly one-sided.

Erik angrily threw punch after punch, but Sebastian Shaw remained unshaken. Shaw raised a single finger and lightly tapped Erik on the forehead, sending him flying backward as if struck by a car. Erik crashed through a specially reinforced glass wall, landing in a heap, looking rather disheveled.

However, with this blow, the vacuum environment of the chamber was broken, allowing Charles Xavier's telepathic powers to seep in. He reconnected with Erik and immediately encouraged him to keep Shaw occupied, giving Charles a chance to control the situation.

At this moment, Sebastian Shaw was wearing that ugly helmet, which protected him from any telepathic interference. He was entirely unafraid of Charles's powers. Still holding the demeanor of a final boss, Shaw didn't rush to finish off Erik. Instead, he continued his long-winded attempt to convince him to switch sides.

Shaw recounted the past, saying, "Everything I did to you back then was for your own good, to unlock your potential. You've become who you are today because of me, thanks to the challenges I put you through." He even tried to take credit for Erik's growth, claiming it was because of him that Erik had become so powerful. Then he launched into his usual mutant supremacy rhetoric, trying to persuade Erik to "see the light" and join him, promising that together they could rule the world.

Throughout this speech, Erik remained silent, using his powers to manipulate the surrounding metal—pipes, steel plates, even cables—to attack Shaw. But Shaw effortlessly absorbed all the energy from these attacks, rendering them completely ineffective. His sheer invincibility was overwhelming.

Some viewers couldn't help but feel concerned for Erik, and they were awestruck by Sebastian Shaw's incredible power. It seemed like Shaw was stronger than both Erik and Charles combined. With his telepathy-blocking helmet, he appeared truly unbeatable.

Finally, when Sebastian Shaw had Erik pinned against the wall, he continued to tempt him with promises of ruling the world together. Shaw, by this point, was completely full of himself, yet he genuinely valued Erik.

Erik, on the surface, seemed to have given up—or perhaps he was starting to be swayed. His expression was complicated and full of sorrow. "Everything you did made me stronger. You turned me into the living weapon I am today. That's a fact. I've always known…"

He turned to look at Sebastian Shaw, gazing at the man's face, which bore that hateful, smug smile that had haunted his memories for so long. Then, Erik added, "You created me!"

Sebastian Shaw genuinely thought he had finally won Erik over. But in the next instant, the cable behind Shaw suddenly "came to life," striking out like a snake and pulling off his helmet!

"Now, Charles!" Erik Lehnsherr shouted. In fact, he didn't even need to call out, as Charles had been psychically linked to him the entire time, monitoring the situation closely.

Without hesitation, Charles seized the moment, using Erik as a conduit to control Sebastian Shaw. Shaw, now stripped of his helmet, was immediately frozen in place by Charles's telepathic powers, his thoughts and body paralyzed.

But just then, the screen suddenly paused, and a new question appeared:

[Will Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto) kill Sebastian Shaw?]

[A: Yes

B: No.]
