Capítulo 37: Ch 23: Sleeping Rampage

Wes: Magnemite use Thunderbolt.

trainer: Poliwhirl dodge it.

Poliwhrirl tried to dodge the Thunderbolt Move of Magnemite, but it was too late. Poliwhrirl took a direct hit, fainting in the process. Then suddenly Magnemite was enveloped in a blinding bright light.

Wes spend the following two days traveling towards Lavender Town while training his Pokemon on Route 11. Both Espeon and Umbreon learned similar new Moves. Espeon learned Morning Sun. While Umbreon learned Moonlight. Charmeleon's boxing training on the other hand, finally produced even more results. Charmeleon managed to learn Fire Punch. Now Wes really hoped, that Charmeleon in at least two weeks at the earliest or a month at the latest. Charmeleon would be able to learn Power-Up-Punch.

Ivysaur also gained a level reaching LV 31. Only one level remains for the evolution of Ivysaur into a Venusaur. Wes decided to not allow Ivysaur to learn the Double-Edge Move.

Last night as he was taking out the Pokemon food to feed his Pokemon Wes found out a TM he had forgotten about. When he had left his home to begin his journey. His mother had given him a lot of premium quality Pokemon food for young Pokémon, and some money for his expenses during his adventure. His father had given an unbrakeable TM of the Return Move.

As he had just began travelling he decided not to teach the Move to his two Eevee's at the time, because he had just gotten his Pokemon. Then with the capturing of Nidoran, Bulbasaur and Caterpie he kept postponing it, and he eventually, forgot that he had that TM. He decided to teach the Move to both his starter Pokemon, Nidorino and Ivysaur when he reached the Aqua Reaf Hotel on Route 12. As for the others, he would teach them the Move on a later day.

[Umbreon: What are you saying about my trainer you stupid author?

Espeon: Start taking responsibility for your mistakes instead of blaming my trainer.

Umbreon: That's right.

Talanjo: Umbreon be careful because if you continue sundering me. I wil write that Wes captured a male Jolteon and Espeon fell in love with it instead of you.

Umbreon: No fair.

Espeon: No i want my Umbreon. NO ONE ELSE!!!

Talanjo: Behave then.

Umbreon and Espeon: Ok.]

Finally after the training Magnemite finally hit LV 30 and it started to evolve into a Magneton. After the blinding light dissipated, Wes could see, three separate Magnemite connected together by a mysterious magnetic force. Wes immediately checked the summary of his newly evolved Magneton.

Magneton: LV 30 Ability: Magnet Pull Item: Heat Stone

Moves: Tackle, Supersonic, Gravity (Baby), Shock Wave (Baby), Thunder Shock, Thunder Wave, Magnet Bomb, Light Screen, Magic Coat (Tutor), Sonic Boom, Discharge (Tutor), Mirror Shot, Metal Sound, Protect (TM), Hidden Power-Fire (Tutor), Thunderbolt (TM), Tri Attack.

" Perfect. Magneton also learned the Tri Attack Move."

Wes, satisfied with his Magneton after a small chat with his defeated opponent,he left towards his next destination. Route 12.

Route 12 was actually the most special Route in the whole region. The eastern part of Kanto was entirely comprised by a lot of forests and mountains along with the endless ocean spanning into the horizon. On the ocean, some small patches of land could be seen. So the Pokemon league of the region build a whole Route made by bridges made of wooden planks and metal, small patches of land and the endless ocean. That Route connected Lavender Town, with Route 11 (Basically Vermilion City) and Route 13 (Close to Fuchsia City).

Wes finally reached Route 12 after a day of hard training. But he had a sma... No.. A very huge obstacle on his way. A huge Snorlax sleeping right on the intersection.

Wes checked the summary of that huge wild sleeping Snorlax

Snorlax male LV 41 Ability: Thick Fat Item: Leftovers.

Moves: Lick, Metronome, Tackle, Belch (Baby), Rest (Baby), Snore (Baby), Defense Curl, Amnesia Protect (Tutor), Chip Away, Screech, Body Slam, Recycle (Tutor), Sleep Talk, Giga Impact, Rollout, Block.

"Damnit. I don't have a Poke flute with me. What can i do to pass through here? !!! 🤯Wait a minute. This is the real world so..."

Wes immediately Called out his Espeon, Umbreon and Butterfree.

Wes: Butterfree use Harden six times. Umbreon Curse 2 times. Espeon use Growl and Future Sight

Butterfree immediately began to emit a metallic luster increasing its Def stat by 1 stage, every time, it used its Harden Move. Umbreon on the other hand, was completely enveloped in a mysterious red aura increasing its Atk and Def stat, while lowering its own Speed stat. Espeon Growled at Snorlax lowering its Atk stat by 1 stage. Then the red gem on Espeon's forehead, glowed mysteriously. Of course while all this took place close to Snorlax. Snorlax was dreaming, that it was swimming in a sea made entirely out of Berry's.

"All preparations are complete.

Butterfree use Bug Buzz. Espeon Psybeam. Umbreon use Faint Attack

Butterfree immediately after hearing its trainer, started to emit powerful sound waves. Espeon lunched its Psybeam Move, while Umbreon hit Snorlax with its body enveloped in a dark aura.

Snorlax: SNOOOOOOOOOOOORLAAAAAAAX!!!!!!

Immediately after all the attacks hit the sleeping Snorlax, Snorlax woke up. Than it roared angrily towards, the Pokemon that woke it up from its beautiful dream.

Then Snorlax used its Giga impact Move running towards Espeon. Without even waiting the order of Wes, Umbreon jumped Infront of the rampaging Snorlax. Then Umbreon was enveloped by a green protective dome. Snorlax smashed on it and a stalemate between the two Pokemon occured.

Wes: Espeon use Swift. Butterfree use Psybeam.

Espeon then whipped its tail launching star ✨ shaped energy towards the Snorlax. Butterfree instead launched its Psybeam Move from its eyes.

Espeon's Swift Move hit the Snorlax while avoiding Umbreon. Then Snorlax started to Rollout backwards dodging the Psybeam. Umbreon started to chase after it.

Actually the right Move that Wes had to use to make sure that he would hit the Snorlax, was Silver Wind. But he decided against it as Umbreon was very close to Snorlax and there was a lot of danger of it receiving the super effective to it Bug Type Move.

After it dodge the Psybeam, Snorlax started to move both its index fingers left and right. Then a lot of dragonic energy started to gather in the stomach of Snorlax. Then Snorlax rised its head towards the sky and launched a compressed ball of energy towards the sky. Then after the ball of energy reached very high in the sky it separated in a lot of huge meteors, made entirely out of draconic energy. Metronome turned into a Draco Meteor.

Wes: Espeon Umbreon Protect. Umbreon Double Kick.

Espeon and Butterfree were enveloped by a green protective dome. While Umbreon being very close to Snorlax it immediately used its Double Kick Move. After all thanks to it being a lot closer to the Snorlax, Umbreon was in no danger from the Draco Meteor. Both kicks found their target. Snorlax cried in pain after receiving this super effective hits. Then as to add an insult to the injury. The dimension around Snorlax started to distort rapidly, at a speed that could be directly observed with naked eye. Espeon's Future Sight Move had found its mark.

Snorlax started to get very tired after the continues assault it received. It decided to use its Rest Move, so it could continue fightin. But the next order of Wes, destroyed that idea completely.

Wes: Butterfree use Sleep Powder.

Butterfree immediately realised its Sleep Powder Move towards the Snorlax. Snorlax immediately fell asleep.

Wes: Umbreon Helping Hand. Espeon use Hyper Beam.

Umbreon started to clap its front paws while Espeon gathered a lot of energy in its mouth. Then a huge beam flew towards the sleeping Snorlax. Snorlax took the hit and fainted. Then Wes captured after throwing three Pokeballs at it.

Wes: Good job everyone.

Wes congratulated his Pokemon for the huge win. Then he checked their summary's, and he was immediately delighted at what he saw. All the of the Pokemon that fought the Snorlax, leveled up.

Espeon: female LV 33 Ability: Magic Bounce Item: no

Wes then instead of going towards the now opened path, gone towards the near by forest and he realised the newly captured Snorlax. He took its Leftovers and then left for Route 12 while leaving the Snorlax there. He had actually realised it completely.

"While Snorlax can learn a lot of powerful Moves. HOW IN THE WORLD, am I supposed to feed it???

That was the reason Wes decided to let go of The LV 41 Snorlax even though it would have been the strongest Pokemon on his team. After all Snorlax was the king of Gen 1-3. It was also very good on the next generations. But it has a very huge drawback in a real world setting. It is not satisfied unless it eats over 880 pounds of food every day.

Wes then left for Route 12. Of course, he didn't forget to take the Leftovers, Snorlax was holding. After all it was a very rare and expensive hold item.
