"Now, where is the monster?" Drav asked as he gazed over Tokyo Bay and the nearby Pacific Ocean.
"I'm sure my instinct has never been wrong in guiding me," he muttered to himself, then he used his clairvoyant power to see inside the water.
Nothing? It's weird.
He thought so, then he picked up Jyahnar and submerged underwater. Using his forcefield power, he separated the water around them and Jyahnar's body. Then, using magic, he transformed oxygen from the water into breathable air.
"Did you feel anything strange, Jyahnar?" Drav asked, hoping that she might sense something unusual about the monster.
"No, I couldn't feel anything," she shook her head, her powers unable to detect anything strange underwater.
"Is it just my imagination? But, I'm pretty sure my instinct has never failed me," he frowned, contemplating why his instinct warned him.
Maybe, I'm still far from it.
He then used his full power of clairvoyance, increasing his vision range from 100 meters to 1 kilometer until finally...
"This!!!" He exclaimed startled, there he saw an unimaginable monster 1.5 kilometers away. Even though it was pitch black there, with his night vision, he could see the huge figure.
The monster was around 100 meters in size, resembling an amphibian with a long tail. It had a terrifying and hideous appearance with two legs and a frog-like head, just like the monsters people had imagined.
Drav could see that the monster was currently unconscious, but what surprised him was the abundance of nuclear waste in the area. While that alone might not have been too alarming, what truly shocked him was the tremendous amount of radiation and mana emitting from the monster as it breathed.
"Nuclear waste, monster, Tokyo Bay, evolution... Wait, don't tell me?!" His eyes widened upon the terrifying realization, he remembered a huge monster that was very famous in his world, a monster that would immediately come to people's minds when they thought of gigantic creatures.
The monster was known as Kaiju and made its debut in a film in 1954, earning titles like "King of Monsters" or "King of Kaiju." It was none other than Godzilla!
And what he was looking at was not the ordinary Godzilla, but the most terrifying version from the Japanese films on 2016, one that had evolved from an ancient sea lifeform into a terrestrial creature due to nuclear radiation – Shin Godzilla!
This is bad!
He felt panic setting in. How could he not? Shin Godzilla was known for its terrifying evolutionary traits. It was said that in its fifth form, Shin Godzilla could self-divide into without limit, potentially covering the entire planet. And in its sixth form, it could self-generate energy, obtaining limitless nuclear fusion power.
Quickly, Drav opened the group chat to warn the others.
[Drav Itsuki: This is bad!]
[Ning Yun'er: What do you mean?]
[Drav Itsuki: I found the monster, but it's... Shin Godzilla!]
[Ning Yun'er: So, it's just Godzilla, right? Why are you making such a fuss?]
[Manaka Sayjou: Yeah, what's wrong with Shin Godzilla?]
[Lumine: Godzilla? I remember it was a very famous monster in the world I visited before.]
The others were confused; it was rare to see someone as powerful and cheat-like as Drav in a state of panic. Moreover, they knew that Drav had overcome all kinds of challenges in previous missions with his mysterious powers.
They were also curious as to why Shin Godzilla could cause Drav such distress and just how terrifying this monster was.
[Drav Itsuki: @Ning Yun'er, have you never watched the movie about it?]
[Ning Yun'er: I've only watched Godzilla: King of Monsters.]
[Drav Itsuki: I see. Let me tell you, Shin Godzilla has the ability of reactive adaptation. The only way to defeat it is to destroy it before it evolves further.]
[Drav Itsuki: But, the trickiest part is that we have to destroy it on a subcellular scale, and unfortunately, I can see that this monster has achieved the self-generation of magical energy.]
[Ning Yun'er: This nima?! Are you kidding me?! The only way to kill it is to destroy it on a subcellular scale?! And why didn't you tell me this monster is like Doomsday?!]
Ning Yun'er was shocked and startled. The monster they were facing was as difficult to defeat as Doomsday, a famous evolution monster from DC Comics known for its ability to kill powerful characters like Superman with its terrifying evolutionary traits.
[Manaka Sayjou: Does this mean the monster is immortal and nearly impossible to kill?]
[Drav Itsuki: Technically, yes. But we can prevent it from evolving further. Unfortunately, this Shin Godzilla is larger, around 100 meters in size, which is bigger than its size in the film. Plus, this monster can generate its own energy.]
[Lumine: This...]
They were all left speechless. The situation had turned very dire, and the task of killing the nearly invincible monster seemed impossible, especially considering its ability to become stronger through attacks.
[Ning Yun'er: ...Let me think of a way to kill it. First, teleport us to your current location.]
[Drav Itsuki: Good.]
After that, Drav returned to the surface and activated his teleportation power to bring everyone to his current location.
"So, did you find the monster yet?" Gudako asked curiously, but she noticed the worried expression on Drav's face.
"Yeah, where is the monster? I want to see our crusading objective!" Flat said excitedly, unaware that the monster they were facing was far more terrifying than he had imagined.
But then, everyone noticed the worried expression on Drav's and his comrade's faces, which made them feel uneasy.
"Everyone, we have both good news and bad news. Which one do you want to hear first?" Ning Yun'er said with a serious tone. The others looked at each other, realizing that they were about to face a serious situation.
"Let's hear the good news first?" Gudako asked with an uncertain expression. Ning Yun'er replied, "As you guessed, we finally found the monster, and it's currently deep underwater. But don't worry, Drav can teleport it to the land."
The others nodded in agreement, knowing that fighting the monster on land would be more feasible than trying to battle it in the deep underwater, especially at a depth of 2 kilometers.
"Now, what's the bad news?" Ishtar asked while crossing her arms confidently. Ning Yun'er's expression turned worried as she replied, "The bad news is that the monster we are facing has the terrifying ability to continuously evolve."
With that, she proceeded to explain about Shin Godzilla to the others. As she talked, everyone's expressions changed from surprise to astonishment, horror, and numbness, realizing the immense challenge they were about to confront.
"Oh no, we are going to die! This world will be destroyed," Gudako fell and knelt powerlessly, as if she had seen a dark future for the universe.
"Senpai!" Mash rushed to her master with a worried and sad expression, gently trying to comfort Gudako.
"Ishtar-sama..." Haruri stared worriedly at Ishtar, but Ishtar bit her finger, lost in thought. Unfortunately, there seemed to be no countermeasure that could be taken against the rapid evolution feature of the monster.
Everyone felt the same. They could envision the world's destruction once Shin Godzilla awakened, as all attacks, whether from weapons or magic, would be ineffective in killing it due to its reactive evolution.
"Humph! This king could easily kill this reptile with Ea!" Gilgamesh said arrogantly, leaving Drav and the other members speechless.
They all thought Gilgamesh was being reckless, underestimating such an unkillable monster. But they knew that Gilgamesh was like a frog in the well, unaware of the vastness of the outside world.
"Anyway, before we subjugate the monster, I will first try to research how to kill it. Please get me some cells or small body parts of the monster," Ning Yun'er said with a serious expression. With her talent, she could deduce or create something to kill or prevent the evolution of cells in Shin Godzilla.
Of course, she didn't believe the possibility was high, as this version of Shin Godzilla was larger and more powerful than the original. Especially since Shin Godzilla could produce its own energy through magical means.
However, she was very confident in her abilities and believed she could create a solution. After all, her talent was named "omnipotent" for a reason.
Drav nodded, and he immediately dove into the water to retrieve the body part or cells. Seeing the monster up close, he felt a sense of fear, the kind that living beings experience when facing something larger than themselves.
"Great Sage, could you detect where the monster's cells or body parts are?"
[Report. The water around has been polluted by the monster's blood. And at a distance of 143 meters from the master, there are some body parts, fins of the monster.]
Drav went to retrieve the body part, which turned out to be a severed fin and tail from the monster's evolutionary process.
He returned and handed the remains to Ning Yun'er. Drav and Ning Yun'er then teleported back to the lab.
"It's fascinating. I never thought there would be a creature like this," Ning Yun'er said with awe. She was greatly astonished when she examined the remnants of Shin Godzilla's cells.
The cells would react to any threat and evolve to adapt to it. The speed of evolution amazed Ning Yun'er, as the evolution that would normally take millions of years was completed in just a few minutes.
She would be even more shocked when she tried to destroy the cells on a subcellular level, as the cells would adapt again if the destruction was not instant.
"So, how is it? Do you have a solution to this?" Drav asked. Ning Yun'er nodded slowly and replied with uncertainty, "It's kind of difficult, but give me one hour - no, just 30 minutes! to make a serum to kill this entire thing."
Drav felt relieved upon hearing that, knowing that the mission could be completed smoothly without any major difficulties. However, he still couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered in his mind.
Why do I still feel uneasy? Is something wrong going to happen later? No! Why am I thinking like this? Is it just paranoia?"
he thought to himself, trying to dismiss his worries, he then returned to the others and told them about Ning Yun'er's progress. They, too, felt relieved and admired such a genius person like her.
"So, with this, our mission will be over without major difficulties, right?" Manaka asked while looking at Drav.
Drav nodded and replied, "Yes, it's over..." But for some reason, his face was still filled with uncertainty. Manaka noticed this and asked, "What's wrong, Drav? Is something bothering you?"
"Nothing," he shook his head but then continued, "But, I'm still very uneasy about this."
"I see," Manaka nodded, misunderstanding his worries as being about Ning Yun'er's success. She reassured him, "Well, we need to trust our companion, as this mission depends on her, and you know she's a genius, right? So, don't worry about it."
Unfortunately, Manaka didn't realize that Drav's unease was related to something else entirely. He couldn't shake the feeling that something might go wrong after completing their mission with Ning Yun'er's serum.
So, he instructed the Great Sage to create some countermeasures against Shin Godzilla in case something went wrong.
And 10 minutes later, earlier than Drav had anticipated, Ning Yun'er informed him that she had found and created the serum. He teleported back her to their location.
Seeing the test tube filled with red liquid in Ning Yun'er's hand, Drav asked with confusion, "Is that really the serum?"
"Yups, it's the serum, and don't worry, even though it's just a small amount, this liquid can spread throughout the body instantly and destroy all cells, even down to the subcellular level of a living being," Ning Yun'er nodded.
She then proved it by injecting 1 milliliter of the serum into a rat, and within less than a minute, the rat melted into a puddle of blood as if all its cells were completely destroyed.
"It's vicious but also unscientific," Drav's mouth twitched as he observed, and the others also marveled at this incredible display.
"In that case, let's do it," Ning Yun'er said. She and Drav locked eyes before Drav nodded and teleported Shin Godzilla and all of them to Antarctica.
At that moment, Antarctica, cold and devoid of humans, was suddenly visited by unusual guests, including several people and terrifying large monsters.
As Shin Godzilla was teleported to the land and unfamiliar environment, the monster began to awaken and open its eyes, but before it could react...
"Now!" Drav quickly teleported to Shin Godzilla's body and injected the serum. Unfortunately, the injection failed to penetrate the thick skin of Shin Godzilla.
Without hesitation, Drav created a lightsaber with his power and stabbed the monster's body, then quickly injected the serum into the wound.
"Come on, come on! It must work!" Ning Yun'er watched the scene impatiently, and just a few seconds later, Shin Godzilla's body started to crumble and melt, leaving everyone relieved.
"Ahh, it's a success!" Gudako was overjoyed and hugged Mash, while the reactions of the others were similar. However, there was one person among them who didn't share their relief.
Strange, am I just being paranoid?
While he was wondering about that, suddenly the uneasiness in his heart worsened and grew larger. Right at that moment, the world, no, the entire universe fell silent.
[Ding! A powerful entity has been detected attempting to cross the border of this universe! The chat group will try to prevent it!]
A massive hole opened in the sky above the Earth, and at the same time, an enormous dark black hand emerged. Everyone, including Drav, could only watch in stunned silence.
They saw the hand seemingly intending to slap the Earth in anger, but the hole quickly shrank, forcing the hand to retract. However, before the hand could fully retreat, something energy rushed towards Shin Godzilla.
The remains of Shin Godzilla, which had turned into a puddle of blood, began to recover and grow, reaching a size of 1 kilometer. At that moment, Drav and the others snapped out of their stunned state.
"No!!!"
ROOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRR!!!
