Capítulo 10: Her first kill

"Kill him," Reaper repeated. His deep and dark voice resounded in the enclosed space of the washroom. Natasha stared at the man who had tried to violate her with the dagger in hand. She looked at Reaper who did not speak anymore but she could see the command that his eyes were giving to her.

She swallowed the Lump that had formed in her throat and took an unsteady step forward toward the scared Nate. He crawled backwards only to be stopped by the wall behind him. He couldn't bring himself to look at the eyes of the man who had just shown up and manhandled him like a weightless doll. It felt like he was looking into the eyes of death himself. He could feel his soul slipping away from him from the brief moment his eyes made contact with the man.

So he turned to glare at Natasha instead. Even at that he still was not able to intimidate her. His eyes widened when he heard the man ask Natasha to kill him and widened even more when she took the dagger from him and took a step forward. He could tell that she feared whoever that man was.

"I... I a... I am sorry." He sputtered as he spoke. He was already against the wall and did not know where else to go. He knew shouting won't help because the background was noisy just like had told Natasha earlier, no one will come to help him. He could only beg for his dear life and pray that they are compassionate enough to spare him.

Natasha was right in front of him with trembling hands holding onto the dagger. She raised her hand which held the dagger. Her heart beat loudly against her chest. The shaking of her hands sped up as her body shook at the thought of what she was about to do.

Though she had witnessed the gory murder of her family, she had never taken a life before and she never thought it would be so hard to do seeing as others could do it so easily like they were taking a walk in the field.

How the hell do they do that without feeling as guilty as she felt right now?!

"Kill him, Little bunny," Reaper said again and she bent her body low. Nate tried to move but he could not. It felt like there was an invisible force holding him a place and restricting his movements. He watched in horror as she squatted in front of him.

With trembling hands, Natacsha raised the dagger in the air. Bringing it down to his chest, she stabbed him.

An agonizing pain sped through his being and a heart-wrenching scream escaped his lips. Natasha stood up immediately like the ground where she was before had caught on fire leaving the dagger still pinned to his chest. Her whole being trembling at the cries of the man whom she had just stabbed.

She had intended to stab his heart so he wouldn't have to go through so much pain but she had missed due to nervousness and trembling hands and stabbing five inches away from his heart.

His blood gushed out of the hole in his chest which still had a dagger. He held the dagger with both hands as he tried to muffle the pained cries that were gnawing within him.

He was finally able to pull the dagger out and threw it on the floor making a clinging sound at its collision with the tiled floor. He propped himself up with his head resting against the wall, one hand on the ground to support his body weight and the other clutching the wound in his chest.

"Ple... Please... Please let me go." He begged, blood spewing out of his mouth with every word that he said.

Natasha was horror-stricken as she stood and watch the wretched man before her begging her. She felt her legs had become too heavy for her to move them. To make it worse, Reaper walked over to where the dagger had fallen, he picked it up and walked over to where she stood. "Do it." He said giving the dagger back to her. "Do not forget your promise, Natasha." He warned, his voice sounding darker than usual, it seems he was annoyed.

Hearing the word promise, Natasha's body shook again. He was right. She has to kill. She must kill if she wants to make fulfilment of her promise to him especially since he was already keeping his end of the deal.

Natasha took deep breaths to calm her racing heart and nervous mind even the trembling of her hands had reduced and she took the dagger from Reaper. "I will fulfil my promise." She said looking him in the eyes. "I never break a promise."

She looked at Nate and saw that he was slowly losing consciousness, if left like that in here and no comes in he would die but Reaper wanted her to end his life with her own two hands. She could more or less guess that he wanted her to know what it felt like to kill a person.

He was right, she knows nothing about killing before she made the promise to him. But she did not regret it. She will never regret making a deal with the devil if it meant getting justice for the injustice that was done to her and her family and besides, it was too late to regret it now, there was no going back. So he had warned her.

She walked to stand just a step away from Nate who now looked as white as paper, taking another deep breath, she raised the dagger again. Closing her eyes for a second before opening them again, she stabbed him, in his heart this time.

Nate's eyes which were beginning to close, flew open. He tried to say something but no words made it out of his mouth. His eyes dropped close. Permanently.

"It is done," Natasha said standing to her feet.

"Mmm," Reaper hummed before walking to Nate's body and touching his head. Something like a wisp of smoke came out of him and entered Reaper's hand. He then stood up to face Natasha who now looked exhausted.

Natasha looked back at him with a tired gaze. Though she had to manage to kill Nate without faltering the second time, inwardly, she was a wreck of a mess. She still could not come to terms with what she had just done. She has killed someone, a living, breathing human being!

Reaper approached her and she took a step back only to fall forward into his arms unconscious.

Reaper caught her, breaking her fall but she fainted. He looked down at the petite figure in his arms, her small face had a frown and she looked horrified even in an unconscious state. After looking at the unconscious girl in his arms for some time, he walked out of the washroom and out of the club. No one bothered to stop him or question him as if it was normal for a man to walk out with an unconscious woman in his arms.
