Capítulo 15: Plans behind the scenes

"I introduced him to you Norman, I believe it's about time he comes back under my wing, don't you? I could offer him more after all." A voice, all too familiar to the older Osborn spoke.

"No! You can act like you want what's best for him all you want, but I see through you, I know what your plans are." The Osborn says, seething.

"Haha! You only truly know a fraction of what I want. But, in terms of him, I've already asked him to come to my charity on Friday, and he happily accepted. You can't stop me." And the call cuts with those words, leaving Osborn speechless for a few seconds, before crushing the phone in his hand.

"I told you Norman, you can't stop him by simply trying to take the boys achievements, destroying them. Even taking out some of Wilsons' assets! You have to take out the threat himself!"

"B-but, to take out the Kingpin himself, it would not only be difficult, but also leave behind a huge powe-"

"AND WHY DO YOU CARE?! Don't you, keep me around, to do what you can't? What you're to weak to do? Isn't that why you keep taking the original OZ? What was everything for, if you're just to stop at the finale? You're Magnum Opus."

And then he let those words, linger in the air so to speak, seriously considering them, before a disturbing smile smeared his face.

"Yes, you're right. Friday, we take out the king of the underworld!"

A bald man with an eyepatch, stares out an awfully large window, into a deep horizon. Countless workers around him, each at their own monitors working on something. And then he's approached by a brown haired woman, in a seeming combat suit with an eagle batch on her left arm.

"What is it, Hill?" The baldy asks.

"It seems like Fisk is making his move on Parker, sir. We expect that he's planning to recruit him on Friday, or at least begin to influence him to his side then." Mariah Hill explains to the director of Shield. And at the mention of Parker, Fury starts to gain a headache. The young boy who has a higher IQ score than both Stark and Richards, both called once in century geniuses, though it seems like many more have been popping up in less than one.

Don't even get him started on the young Parker's parents. It's funny, the two geniuses gave birth to one too, maybe even the younger one is a better genius.

'Scratch that, it'd end up being way to much work.' Fury thought to himself.

"Ok, guess we gotta speed up the plan for him. How long till we can get Romanoff in position?" Fury asks Hill, and then after a few swipes on the electric Pad in her hands, she had an answer.

"Tomorrow, the History Teacher has been looking into a trip to Peru with his family, would you like them to win a random lottery with a paid vacation?" Hill finishes with a question.

"Sounds perfect. Make sure Romanoff has a private conversation with him by Friday."

It's Friday now, 3 days since we randomly gotta substitute teacher. Apparently our teacher won a lottery to a free vacation, lucky man.

And I would've been fine with it, but then she suddenly told me, the sub, that we had to talk about my grades, which worried me since I've worked hard to keep them high.

So that brings me here, face to face with the admittedly attractive red head sub, alone, in a classroom, after school…

'Oh shit!'

"Soo, my grades?" I ask, trying to play off the my sudden awkwardness at the thoughts filling my head.

"Yeah, before we get to that though, there's something else I want to talk about first." She said with a seductive subtlety, something I notice she seems to have naturally.

"And that is?" I questioned.

"Well, have you ever heard of something called S.H.I.E.L.D?" She asked, catching me off guard.

"Uh, no, should I know of it?"

"No, if you haven't then that means we're doing something right. Well, we work as a branch of the government, our main job is working to make the world a better, safer place. Plus, it comes with a lot of benefits." Listening to her words, I question a part of it.

"And you do that yourselves? Sounds like a responsibility placed onto one organization." I stated, thinking of how all that responsibility can fall onto one group that I haven't even heard of till now.

"It is a lot of responsibility, but it pays well." She finished with a smile.

"So what? You want to recruit some random kid from Queens? I don't believe it, why?"

"We know how smart you are, Peter. You hold the potential to do a lot of good with all those brains."

"Yeah, rather leave that to the heroes, like Stark, why don't you recruit him instead?"

"You've heard of his ego, right? Even if he's had a change of heart since his kidnapping, men like that don't change that quick, or that easily."

"Regardless, I have commitments already, here, with work, and family. I don't have time to play super spy genius across the world from my family and friends."

"How about I let you think on it?" She says standing up, leaving a card on the desk before sauntering over to the door. "You should consult your girlfriend, Gwen, or should I say, Spider-Women?" And she left with those words.

Taking a second to register those words, I immediately run to the door to chase her, but she's already gone somehow, nowhere in sight.

I immediately run back to the desk, take the card, examine it for a second, to see it only having a phone number on it, the rest of it being blank.

I start to leave, but then I remember that this lady was a seeming super spy, she may have bugged this card somehow. But then I think what would be the point of getting rid of it, they somehow know Gwen's secret identity after all.

Regardless though, I decide to copy down the phone number on a piece of paper from my backpack, dumping the card in a trash can on my way out the classroom.

But now, I start to rethink my plans, they were able to somehow discover Gwen's identity. How though? She said they were a part of the government, so they must have access to public cameras, maybe even private ones considering they may operate on seemingly a different set of rules if they're tasked to maintain World Peace.

'Wait, doesn't that mean they may also hack my phone and other devices? Did they hack Gwen? Is that how?' And then with those thoughts, I remember my, personal projects.

'Shit.' I thought before running my way to the train and home.

Going into the basement immediately, I breath a sigh of relief seeing that the glider is there still, almost finished. Then I go to my computer down here and start copying down all the important things on paper before deleting them, like my experiments with the OZ and simulations with the glider.

Then I come across the cross-species genetics work. Right now it's in animal trials, but the formula ends up turning the rats we experiment on into volatile half rat half lizard thing.

But the increase in performance and healing factor speaks for itself. It giving rats the strength to break through bullet proof glass.

'What if I combine it with the new OZ? The strength would be more than enough, but I may just end up losing my mind.' I thought before shaking my head, priorities first.

After triple checking that there's nothing else on my computer I would want getting out, mainly cause it may come back to bite me when I begin my own crusade against crime. I slump in a chair, before remembering something about spy movies. They usually bug a person of interests house.

I start to check around, but find nothing, either they're really good at hiding these things, or they haven't bugged my house, which I don't want to take a chance of.

I go to a chest to the side, it belonged to Uncle Ben. I open it and see the familiar, but old metal detector. I pick it up and start checking every inch of the room, I end finding five, each well hidden. Well guess they knew my plans already. Then I go proceed to check the entire house, luckily no one being home, May at work, brother hanging out with Flash, Harry and a few others.

I end up finding 25 more, each one that I proceeded to crush completely before dumping in the trash, the same thing I did with the previous 5 I found.

So, now there's a high chance that Gwen's identity was found, because of me. I may have been the one to compromise her, and I feel pretty bad about it. But if from the way secret spy spoke, they may have relations already, before I got bugged.

Actually, it could be possible I've been bugged for years, that's a creepy as hell thought.

Now in my room, I lie on my bed and pick up my phone.

P: Hey Gwen, mind coming over later? I got something important to talk about

G: Sure, but what you want to talk about?

P: It's better if I say it in person

And then without thinking, I sent that message which can be taken a very different way, but maybe that's not a bad thing? This can end up being a fun talk, maybe… hopefully.
