"Hey Pete!" Gwen said with a smile.
"Hey Gwen, how are you? You look good as always." I asked as we started walking to the train station, Gwen on my right as I side walk ruled her and Miles was behind between us.
"Thanks! But I'm good, how about you? Sorry about my dad." She said the last part in a regretful tone.
"No it's not a problem, I think we came to an, understanding." I said cryptically but she ignored it.
"So how about this little guy?" She asked.
"Names Miles! Nice to meet you pretty lady!" Miles said bluntly, which surprisingly got her to giggle.
"Thank you Miles, it's nice to meet you too." Gwen said with a smile. We continued to talk all the way to the train and the bleachers, Miles only really talking about himself when asked by Gwen, while we talked generally about anything.
"Hey Gwen?" Called out Miles.
"Yeah, Miles?" She asked.
Did you know that Peter saved me and 2 other people from a raging apartment fire?" To which I started viciously fake coughing.
"Miles, buddy, I don't remember that happening." I said with a fake smile that only he could see.
"Sooo, how does this basketball thing work?" Gwen asked genuinely, changing the topic.
"Well we start with what's called a tip off where..." I continued to generally explain the game as it went on. And it was honestly a close and intense game. My brother was clearly tired since he's the starting Point Guard, along with all the starters being tired as well. But I continued to explain the different things until she suddenly got an alert on her phone, and she checked it, to suddenly gain an apologetic look.
"Sorry Peter, but something important just came up. I'll make it up to you, how about a real date next time? This was more of a hangout with friends honestly." She said, catching me off guard honestly, but I quickly recovered.
"Sure! No problem, text you the details?" I asked in response.
"Sure! See ya!" She said as she started disappearing past the other people in the bleachers.
"Damn, you didn't even do much and you got a date." Miles said.
"Yeah shut it." I said while "playfully" punching him, but I made sure it'll sting at least a bit. The game continued on, until we eventually one with my brother getting a buzzer beater, and everyone started celebrating. Honestly one of the good things of this school is its "spirit".
Eventually me and Miles met up with my brother met up with my brother who's in the locker room.
"That was a nice shot bro." I said as he looked at me and Miles and smiled.
"Thanks. What's up Miles?" Ethan asked.
"Man that shot's whats up! Hit them with, ugh, ugh, fader!" Miles said while reenacting what happened getting a laugh out of everybody here.
"Yeah! E here's the star of tonight! We doing a burger run matter of fact, ya in?" Flash asked enthusiastically.
"Sorry man, but we gotta get home. Maybe next time." I answered for Ethan.
"Damn, next time though for sure! Let's go guys!" Flash said as he walked out and all the others followed.
"Well let's get you home." I said to Miles while he nodded in response. We, then including my brother, made our trip to Brooklyn and dropped off Miles with Rio and Davis, his mom and dad respectively, while me and my bro made it back home to aunt May.
…
Currently it was 2 in the morning, and I was on my computer playing Chess online, it was setup next to my window, giving me a nice view of the night if I ever needed to cool down my mind from thinking.
It was a hobby I picked up that has been easy to learn and get good at with my IQ level. Been thinking of joining a tournament soon to get some money off it.
Gazing off at the stars, I couldn't help but admire space. There are billions of planets and stars, all possibly teeming with life. Considering all the variables, even if less than 1% of all those planets had life, it's still a lot.
And then almost like a sign from god himself, I saw a beautifully figured person descend from the sky, onto Gwen's house… Wait, Gwen's house?
I silently but quickly leave my house while pulling out my phone and quickly calling her, before the first ring even ended she answered.
"Peter, what are you doing calling me at this time?" She asked in an annoyed tone but with some grunts mixed in.
"I think someone broke into your room!" I say tucking my phone in the crook of my neck as I go to a tree that conveniently has branches leading close to her window and start climbing it.
"Wait you saw tha- I mean, really?!" She questioned, cutting off what she was originally gonna say, but I still caught it as I got confused, from that sentence and to some weird web looking stuff hanging off the side of her roof.
"Wait, what do you mean 'I saw that', do you know the personn." I slightly dragged on my words, cause I was standing on one of the branches, looking into her window, and I saw her pass, mid taking off the top half of some type of spandex suit from her chest.
"What?" She ask pausing her movements, turning to me, we made momentary eye contact, and then she screamed, pulling me out my shock, and lose my balance as I fell to the ground.
"Hey! What's going on out there?!" I suddenly hear her dad yell, not good. Groaning, I slowly force myself up. Then I hear Gwen from above.
"Get out of here!" She said in a silent scream, but I get to my feet only to get back on one knee.
"I sprained my ankle." I said quickly, and looking up I notice she changed into a crop top, and I can say it's helping me feel better, but not fast enough.
"Shit!" She says, I barely heard it as she goes away from the window, but then I heard the front door open quickly.
"Fuck." I said to myself, before I'm suddenly pulled up like a light weight, and as the ground gets farther, I'm suddenly pulled sideways, into Gwen's room.
"What the fuck was that?" I ask Gwen who was standing above me, I was laying on my back on the floor.
"Don't worry about that right now." She says pulling me up to my feet as I stand on my non sprained foot. She gets under the arm of the side that is sprained, and helps me to her bed.
"Thanks for the help, but again, what the fuck was that?" But she ignored me as she went to her closet, looked on the ground for something before pulling out a can.
She comes over before handing it to me, and reading it, it says bio freeze, it's useful for sprained ankles.
"Thanks." I say as I take off my slippers and socks, yes I did all that in slippers, probably why I sprained my ankle.
"So, how much did you see?" She asked sitting next to me on the bed.
"Oh, not a lot, you stopped before I saw anything." I pause trying to think of the best way to phrase this." Explicit." I decided as the word to use.
"No no, that's not what I meant. I meant, the other thing." She said with a slight blush.
"Oh, you mean the otherworldly being, probably a goddess, conveniently go into your room with you not noticing?" I asked sarcastically.
"Yeahh." She said awkwardly.
"So, have you heard about Spider-Women? The crime fighter?" She asked.
"Yeah, solid name to be honest. So what, you're her?" I asked back, by now putting back on my sock.
"Yeah, surprise?" She said weakly.
"That, is honestly so cool, and explains your strength." I said thinking about this revelation.
"So, how doe-"
"Get in the closet." She suddenly ordered, getting up and grabbing my hand, dragging me as I was confused.
"Don't ask, just do it." She said, and do I did.
Suddenly the door to her room opened as her dad stepped in, as I was barely able to see through the slits.
They proceeded to have a conversation, a concerned dad with his daughter, but after making sure Gwen was ok, he left.
Meanwhile I was in a uncomfortable position, forced to stay in it as they talked, till he left and she opened the closet for me, and giggled a little seeing how my body was.
"Had fun in there?" She asked, amused as I stepped out.
"Lots." I replied dryly.
"Anyways, I would love to stay here and spend the night, but my aunt will probably be confused by me not being home in the morning, so I'll talk to you tomorrow." I said walking over to her window with a limp.
"Mind helping me down?" I asked as she nodded, used her super strength and web she apparently had on my back, to lower me safely to the ground.
"That is so cool." I say looking at her perched horizontally on the wall of her house.
"See ya tomorrow." She said as her only response, crawling back into her room through the window, giving me a great view of her in short shorts.
I silently enter back into my house, lock the door, and safely get to my room. I can't sleep though, my thoughts filled with the fact that my friend is a superhero apparently. Though eventually I do fall asleep.
Posting this cause, well I wrote it, and just want to publicly say that I believe that the new Spider-verse movie is number two all Spider-Man movies, though it can be argued it’s at 3.
