Capítulo 34: Just my imagination
Chapter 33 (Andrew's POV)
Something was seriously wrong.
But f**k me if I knew what.
Vicky has been off since we came back from the hospital yesterday.
Today I would have to go into town for some parts. And later Vicky had to go to the police station to give her statement.
So we wouldn't see each other until evening.
Amy will stay the day with my parents, as to not preoccupy Vicky while she is still recovering.
But she was kind of distant today. Maybe it was because of all the recent events.
So I decided to give her some time.
I brewed us some coffee while she was in the shower.
I also prepared some fast sandwiches for us to get us through the morning.
When she came out of the shower she smiled at me, but her smile was forced and a little bit on the sad side.
We drank coffee together in silence and after it I thought to myself f**k it! I will ask her.
I wrapped my arms around her from behind and I was relieved when she leaned closer to me.
"Is there anything wrong love? You seem distant this morning."
She went still in my arms for a second but she relaxed fast so I didn't give her reaction a second thought.
"Nah. Everything is ok. Sure I'm still not sleeping well and my mind often wanders to things it shouldn't but I will be ok. I promise."
I believed her and after a few more minutes of hugging I said goodbye with a passionate kiss.
When I was closing the door behind me I thought I heard her say : " Goodbye Andree. I hope you will forgive me one day."
But maybe my mind was just playing tricks on me.
She wouldn't leave like that.
She promised to say goodbye properly before she leaves.
But what a dumb idiot I was to believe a woman once more wasn't I?
