Capítulo 10: Chapter 10 Inteference
Quickly shoving the remaining food in his mouth, chugging down a cup full of water, Ace suddenly started walking outside which I followed closely by. Ace's bounty at the moment was 100,000 beli which was quite high for a start-up pirate. [Made this initial bounty up as we only got his bounty before he died which is 500,000]
We stood face to face at about 20 meters apart. Staring each other down, him being surrounded by marines as the atmosphere began to tense.
" Portgas D. Ace, the World Government has a proposal for you to become a Shichibukai. Although you would have to disband your small pirate group, it is better than being hunted down isn't it."
Ace on the other hand smirked as gobbled down the rest of the food in front of him and ignored me as he walked out of the diner.
I followed along as it was indeed not an ideal place to fight, with so many innocent people around.
Soon he stood about 20 meters away as he began to stretch his body and spoke.
Ace, " To become a dog of the World Government?" He smiled even bigger, " No thanks. Following other people is not suited for me. Especially the World Government."
Frowning my brows, I replied, " Dog? Dog's are considered Man's best friend. We protect the innocent people from treacherous pirates and bandits who causes harm towards them. Do not disrespect such people. World Government or not, we marines protect people from chaos and harm. I know your reputation Portgas D. Ace. Despite being a pirate, you have only fought against us and other pirates. You have not caused a single innocent bloodshed. Join us Ace."
Ace smiled as flames started to emerge from his body. He winded his fist backwards and his fist started to turn that into a flame. " No thanks. I won't be joining the marines, for my goal as a pirate is far greater, far better, than being just a dog of the World Government."
Ace then launched a large fist of fire at me. Knowing his ability beforehand, I raised my right hand amplifying my strength by 10 as I caught the first full of fire and launched it straight up.
With a slight burn and smoke coming from my hands, I quickly waved it off. " Ouch. But is that all you have? If so, then this battle won't be too long."
Seeing the force of actions, the marines that have already surrounded the area emerged and started firing their weapons at Ace. However, these bullets just went through him and attacked the surrounding buildings, causing the curious bystanders who still wanted to watch the confrontation hiding deeper into their homes.
Seeing the foolish actions, I yelled angerly at them, " Fools! Did you already not read the reports given to you. He is a logia user. Ordinary bullets won't do a thing against him. Use the prison bullets. No lethality is allowed."
The marines gave a wirily smile as they must've forgotten. They soon took cover and started to swap their ammunitions.
During this time, Ace looked at me with a more serious expression, " You... you are no ordinary marine captain. You also have a devil fruit don't you. What's with that outfit too. Why do you have wings, are you trying to become a holy being or something?"
I smiled as I replied, " That's correct Ace. I am not human or should I say, I am not orginally from this side of the planet. I come from a much higher place." I pointed upwards with a smile as I watched his reaction and continued, "I also ate the energy-energy devil fruit. Turning my body into that of an energy man. I have an unlimited amount of energy; I can go months and years without sleeping and eating. I can train endlessly. I can do anything. This is your last chance Ace. Accept the proposal by the World Government or else, I would capture you here and now for the high bounty and potential danger you possess to this world."
Ace smirked as he replied, " Hmph, everything as its weakness. Though you are turned into a giant glob of energy, everything needs to replenish and have its limits. Just as the soil on the ground can only hold so much water before it stops absorbing it, your body has its limit to absorbing energy, no?"
Seeing this pirate figure out everything from just hearing my explanation of my devil fruit, I frowned as this pirate was indeed pretty intelligent.
Seeing that I didn't reply Ace continued to launch large fire fists at me.
However, with my body amplified by fifteen, I simply directed them off as I focused on creating an energy like wall on our sides where the bystanders and houses laid.
As soon as I set them of and ensuring that they were safe, I finally made my move.
With a strong kick to the ground, and a flap of my large angelic wings, I flew towards him at a near instantaneous speed that surprised him. I launched a fist full of amplified energy as I appeared in front of him and hit his chest, sending him flying back.
Rolling and tumbling backwards for quite the distance, he got to his feet and saw the blood that dripped from his body, " Blood? How is this possible? My body is entirely made of fire, almost nothing solid should be able to hit my body."
Smiling I gave him an explanation, " Fire, right? Is fire not a form of energy? Fire is not a solidified form is it. Unlike Magma, ice, or other type of solid type ability, there is nothing that can't resist me. Do you understand the difference between us now? Your logia body is a really bad confrontation against me. I already gave you your last chance. Surrender now or I will beat you senseless and then take you to prison."
Ace realizing the strong opponent in front him, frowned as he shook his head, " No matter what, I am not someone who will run away from a fight. No matter what!"
Ace's whole body started to turn that into a flame body and launched forwards towards me as he started to fight. Unfortunately, his attacks were a little too weak against my enhanced body.
After fighting for a few minutes, this fight was getting too boring as Ace continued to launch attacks that had little affect. Dodging a fist full of fire, I bent forwards and put my palm against his chest. This was a move I developed from the impact dial back in my homeland. " Impact" With a surge of energy, I condensed a palm of energy into my palm and thrust it forwards, causing both internal and external damage to the foe. It didn't have the drawbacks of hurting the user like the impact dial.
With the impact from my palm, Ace was sent flying backwards once again and this time struggled to stand up.
I raised my hand and gave the order for the surrounding marines to shoot him with the prison bullets.
Several bullets emerged from their guns that soon spread out and turned into large metal nets. The large nets soon wrapped around Ace and tightly captured him, making him unable to move to the nets having the nature of the sea, causing Ace to unable to gather strength and use his devil fruit ability.
For an ordinary marine captain, they may not have able to take on Ace by themselves, but unfortunately his devil fruit and prowess were useless against me.
Ace, " What... What is this? My strength... is fading."
Still struggling to get the net off of him, and seeing that this battle was over, I explained to him, " The marines and world government have tendencies for people like you who gained the ability of having a logia body or have powers that go against the norm. For such people, through the help of vegapunk, we developed special bullets meant to capture and deny such power. It is over Ace, since you refused to join us, we have no choice but to take you in. You will no longer see the light of day and be captured."
?? " Captain Ace!!"
I looked towards the voice that called out and saw that a group of 18 people and one animal was running towards us. With weapons in hand, they rushed forwards intending to save Ace.
Ace saw them approaching and called out, " Everyone... don't come any closer. Run!"
However, the crew didn't listen and continued to run towards him, intending to save him.
Seeing the incoming pirate crew, I shook my head. " Overestimating yourselves."
However, before I could make a move, small explosions began to resound outside my barrier which were meant to protect the people from harm. Fire began to spread out quickly.
It was then the other captain, Captain Draw specifically walked out and laughed mischievously, " Haha. Look! The fire caused by this despicable pirate is spreading to the people. Capture him and his crew at once."
Seeing the captain that has just walked out, I frowned as I saw the fire that was spreading from one place to the next. It was simply impossible for the fire to spread. First of all, Ace's attacks were centered on me. Second, with my barrier up, no attacks should have affected the surroundings.
I stood in front of him and the small group of marines that followed me, this included the Ensign Isuka " Oi! Vice-admiral Draw, what have you done? There is no way that his ability would affect our surroundings."
Soon several other marines who followed me stood at my side. After all, most of the marines here witnessed the battle.
" Vice-Admiral Draw, do you understand your actions?! You have and are causing harm to the innocent bystanders. I have already captured Portgas D. Ace."

Vice Admiral Draw laughed and said, " What do you mean Captain Michael? It seems like your backing of the hero Vice-Admiral Garp has gotten to your head. Do you know what it means to stand against me? This is treason and treachery."
I frowned as I continued to look at him. Vice-Admirals, devil fruits or not, possess strong combat and leadership qualities.
Isuka then also spoke out, " You... Vice-Admiral Draw, you are going against the marine codes. We exist to protect the innocent bystanders, not draw them into our battles."
Vice-Admiral Draw, " Hmph, what can you know about our principles Ensign. The world is more than just black and white. I will do whatever it takes to capture pirates for their despicable actions."
I nodded, " Although it is true that the world isn't just black and white, that there are indeed some gray areas. But shouldn't we at least keep the innocent bystanders away from harm and keep them safe. Vice-Admiral Draw, I have trouble of understanding your sense of justice."
Vice- Admiral Draw, " Hmph, why would I have to explain myself to a captain such as you. Since you are standing in my way, I will deal with you first, before I capture and bring in Portgas D. Ace."
