Capítulo 178: The Gift of Tongues I

(Author's Note: Only thing missed for those who skipped the smutty chapters, MC got mega horny for M'rissi and had some sort of power up to push past the limits of his horniness and smex her up good. Plus waking up to the sound of training and watching the start of a sparring match between Inigo and Valerius. Back to our regularly scheduled programming.)

I get comfortable on the ground alongside Mr. Dragonfly's jar as Inigo and Valerius continue testing each other's defenses.

I watch as Inigo brings a wide swing above his head while lowering his shield to his side leaving an obvious opening.

{No! You fucking idiot! You're wide open! Bring that shield up!}

I hear a distant, squeaky voice shout almost like that of an animated chipmunk movie character.

But I can't tell where it came from, however Inigo hears it and quickly corrects his form in time to parry Valerius' strike with his shield then wraps his arm around to go for another strike with his sword.

Unfortunately, Valerius recovers quickly from the parry and smashes his shield against the incoming blade before smoothly flowing around Inigo's shield, bringing his blade to his exposed neck stopping short of actually cutting him.

"I yield... You are a very good swordsman, Valerius." Inigo says after sighing in defeat, sheathing his sword.

"Thank you, you're pretty good yourself, Inigo. You almost had me with that feint of yours, you just weren't prepared for the follow through." Valerius commends Inigo for his efforts before sheathing his weapon and shaking his hand.

"I appreciate your praise, but it was Mr. Dragonfly who deserves the credit. He warned me about my opening." Inigo explains while shaking Valerius' hand.

"Okay? Oh, I think Balfring is needing something." Valerius says finding an excuse to leave this awkward conversation.

Inigo shrugs before heading over to see me sitting beside Mr. Dragonfly, and I start getting a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach.

"Ah, you are finally up my friend. You look much better, how do you you feel?" Inigo asks as he bends down to pick up Mr. Dragonfly's jar.

{Yeah, the Green Fucker looks bulkier. Seems a bit out of it though, maybe he's on the skuma like you were?}

I hear that voice speaking again, making me look at the jar in confusion.

"Mr. Dragonfly! It is not nice to accuse our friends of doing drugs." Inigo says, chastising Mr. Dragonfly.

{Friend? When'd I ever say that Green Fucker was my friend?}

"Stop calling me a Green Fucker, you damn bug!" I shout at the jar, unable to restrain myself making Inigo and Mr. Dragonfly go silent.

"My friend... You hear Mr. Dragonfly, too?" Inigo asks me in shocked disbelief.

{No fucking way... I can finally talk to someone else!}

"I guess so?" I say awkwardly, rubbing the back of my neck as I watch Mr. Dragonfly do some sort of dance inside his jar.

"How my friend? Have you gone insane too?" Inigo asks me with genuine concern.

"I guess you could say that?" I say before explaining what happened last night.

"That is amazing my friend, to think you fought with a Deadric Prince's daughter and even met Sheogorath." Inigo says in awe.

{Yeah, I call bullshit, no way any of that happened.}

"If none of it happened, how can I understand you?" I tell him with a smirk, as that annoying voice of his starts to get on my nerves.

{Buzz...}

"That's what I thought, anyways. Ready to head out and take care of those hags?" I ask Inigo after Mr. Dragonfly was quieted.

"Of course my friend, but what about your kitten? She was... Wobbling..." Inigo says with an awkward chuckle, not quite able to meet my eyes.

"We haven't had much fun together lately, why don't we make this a boys trip?" I say, ignoring that comment and wrap my arm around his shoulder, leading him in the direction of the hagravens.

"That sounds like a wonderful plan my friend! Though I must admit, I find those hags quite unsightly. All those feathers, yuck." Inigo says with a shiver.

{Gay...}

"Shut up!" We both shout at Mr. Dragonfly, finally understand what drove Inigo to his current mental state before making our way to the hagraven camp at Orphan Rock.

We walk through the woods for about an hour before coming upon the hagraven camp.

We both crouch down beneath a fallen tree, watching a handful of hags and witches going about the camp. The witches taking care of basic chores and tasks while the hagravens seem to be gathered around a central old crone performing some kind of ritual around the body of a dead foresworn.

"What should we do my friend?" Inigo asks as he readies his bow.

"Not today, I've been aching for a real fight for the last two weeks and I think this is the perfect opportunity to stretch my regained might." I tell Inigo before cracking my knuckles and drawing out my ebony sword and shield that I've been missing dearly the last couple weeks.

"Understood my friend, what should I do?" Inigo asks while lowering his bow.

"Why don't you handle over watch? Just sit back and enjoy the show while I have some fun. Maybe practice your aim for the next archery competition?" I tease him before starting to sneak away from his position.

"Oh? I remember a certain someone losing to his own kitten if I recall correctly, my friend. Maybe it is you who needs the practice?" Inigo quips back before I head out of earshot.

I make my way to the edge of the camp, once I feel confident Inigo had my back, I stand up and walk into the camp not bothering to hid at all.

It takes a moment for the witches to notice my presence prompting them to draw their daggers and flame starts to wrap around their free hands as they stare at me in shock before one witch stows her blade prompting the rest to do the same leaving me confused as to what to do now.
