We then disbanded and we let Emma kept the jade fragment like usual, and I went to rest for the day at the dorm since my clanmates just texted me saying that Valentina got back to her room safely.
I then went to her the next day to hear some of her reports, but when I got there, Eleanor handed me her phone and on it is an article, it has a picture of Valentina at the dinner with the other leaders, but the title...
'Scandal?! The youngest ranker in history is the spirit queen's lover?!'
"They saw the mark." Valentina said as she rubbed it "The vampire king and queen sure were surprised that one of my lover is one of their own. It didn't take long for this to leak and your status as duke was the best probable guess, we can continue to deny it, but just know, once our daughter is born, it would be obvious who the father is."
"Yeah, if our daughter got my brown skin and born as a human or vampire, it's undeniable at that point, it's not like I'll deny it anyway, so tell me about the fragments."
She then proceeded to describe the fragment, the fairy prince unlike the orc king, didn't talk much about it since he barely knows about it, his father only lend it to him for the short occasion, but everything she said fit the description, she even showed me a picture, the fairy price usually put his hand behind his back, so I can only take her word for it, but the orc king wore it proudly on his chest.
They admit to not knowing of much of its uses and for what they do know, they're keeping it a secret, it's what made the charm lucky in the first place apparently, I saw some text messages from Etha this morning, confirming the existence of 2 jade fragments and the other asking if 'I hit that'. I chose not to answer that.
As I talked with the queen, Rex and Ezio asked the same thing in the same wording, I then accompany her as one of her guards on the second day of the first round for the blindfold bomb event. It was really boring since I am forced to stay awake the whole time, surprisingly no one dared to come and ask me questions about the scandal.
"You used to sleep a lot more." Decker commented as we watch the competition "What happened to you siblings while we were gone?"
"Oh, we drank some sort of 'potion' to enhance us physically, so we are a bit better."
"Why was there an emphasis on potion?"
"You don't want to know what it actually is, anyway, taking it slow in the academy is helping me, cuz it gives me time for my body to balance my magic and physical body."
"You think you can give me this secret potion that help you adjust so well?"
"You're going to have to ask my mother, and you'd be disgusted if you know what is."
"I've been in this tower longer than anyone here, I have drank gallons of my own blood at this point." he shrugged "There's nothing you can say-"
"I kissed a god."
He then choke on his own saliva alongside Valentina who's now questioning her existence.
"No wonder you broke up with me!" Valentina exclaimed and then turned to her guards "Don't tell anyone you heard that or you're dead."
"I was kidding, why do you take it so seriously?"
"I mean...if what she said is true...it would make sense." Decker scratch his chin "It would explain why you and her didn't work out. There's nothing wrong with it, this old man will support you all the way, you can love whoever you want."
"You do realize that even if it was true, my sister won't do suck a thing, don't make assumptions now."
Now I'm fearing their reaction if I were to tell em the truth, I'm still questioning how she got it but here I am.
After this tournament, then studying and training and it will the first semester exam which is good, it means that the story is progressing and we're aging, unlike some novels where things are all accomplished in a year or so.
After the academy, you got the climbing the tower arc, you got some other arcs, maybe the author is the final boss, who knows.

I think I just jinx myself in a protagonist fashion, but whatever, they aren't gonna be stupid enough to attack if 4 rankers are here, too risky for them.

"Rankers aren't that close to each other apart from Richard and Elliot, and that duo. Well Rex and Ezio technically get along cuz they're part of the you know who."

The person with the jade eyes, they are sitting in the shadows where the author angle it so that they are not revealed to me, the 3rd person view narrator, it's hard for me to describe what they look like, it was done to keep the mystery and prolong the story.
He is watch the tournament too, and he smiled which revealed his teeth that shined in the darkness, it was bright white, he probably used a 10/10 dentist recommended toothpaste.
"My minions, when the tournament finish...use the device." they ordered
"It will alert of the Mirage Legion and could possibly leak out a few of our members, are you sure, master?" a person said from the dark
"Yes, we will alert those 13 frauds to come out." the master snickered and laugh by himself "Hell I want those dumb gods to come out, I want to personally eliminate them if I can, but you know your targets, now go, no more questions."
